Customer: I have a huge problem. A friend has placed a screen saver on my computer, but every time I move the mouse, it disappears.
Tech support: How may I help you?
Customer: I’m writing my first email.
Tech support: OK, and what seems to be the problem?
Customer: Well, I have the letter ‘a’ in the address, but how do I get the little circle around it?
A woman customer called the Canon help desk with a problem with her printer.
Tech support: Are you running it under windows?
Customer: ‘No, my desk is next to the door, but that is a good point. The man sitting in the cubicle next to me is under a window, and his printer is working fine.’
Tech support: ‘Okay Bob, let’s press the control and escape keys at the same time. That brings up a task list in the middle of the screen. Now type the letter ‘P’ to bring up the Program Manager.’
Customer: I don’t have a P.
Tech support: On your keyboard, Bob.
Customer: What do you mean?
Tech support: ‘P’…..on your keyboard, Bob.
Customer: I’M NOT GOING TO DO THAT!

LOL! Too funny!
Every one and more have happened too. 🙂
har! As long as I have been using Windows you would thing I'd memorized all of the keyboard shortcuts. But then I remember one of my favorite Quotes ever from one of the smartest people ever to live:
“I don't need to know everything, I just need to know where to find it, when I need it."
― Albert Einstein
Have yourself a fabulous day! xoxo
I agree with that quote. I feel the same way. 🙂
Funny =))
You two have a woof woof day. My best to your mom. 🙂
These are the greatest. It sure did make me laugh out loud again. Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit have yourselves a fantastic day.
I love to make you laugh out loud Marg. 🙂
my screen saver does the same thing. I wonder if I should call tech support to find out why….lol
No, don't call. Let Gibbs do the calling. 🙂
LOL hilarious but I do feel a bit sorry for Bob :-SS
Have a PCtastic day Sandee d-)
Yes, Bob was the very best one. 🙂
What's a screen saver? Ha,ha,ha. I would never want to be a Tech support. I would go crazy with people like meHa,ha,ha.
Have a fantastic Saturday Sandee. It has been raining all night long and I'm trying to send this rain to you but it's so darn hard. See ya.
Cruisin Paul
Me either. Hard job when you're talking with folks all day that can't talk computer talk. 🙂
Some people are dangerous — to tech support's sanity! Heeheehee!
Very, very true. 🙂
It works the other way also. I got a call from "Microsoft Tech Support" and the man with the Indian accent informed me that Microsoft noticed strange things coming out of my machine. I asked if it were in the Windows registry. "Yes, yes that's what it is". I told him (the truth) that I don't use Microsoft products and don't have a Windows registry and that I use Linux. "What's that?". I supposed he's never heard of Apple either.
Watch out for those calls, they're scams.
Oh the scams are rampant aren't they. That's a good one. 🙂
LOL!!! How do I get the circle around the a? Hilarious! 🙂
Yep, he needs a lesson of his keyboard. 🙂
I worked in tech support, so I have stories! Perhaps the funniest was the time one of my co-workers went to a user's desk and told her to press F8. She kept pushing the F key, then the 8 key!
Good grief Stephanie. That's a good one. 🙂
once again these were written for my husband lol! Have a great weekend!
I know one person that doesn't even know how to turn on a computer and he doesn't care either. 🙂
oh bwa hahahah good giggles! Have a cool day in the shade!
You a lot hotter up there than we are down here. 🙂
Dear Sandee, I understand completely! xoxo Catherine
I remember when I first started out. I was stressed out most of the time. 🙂
There are idiots amongst us…oh yeah, you already knew that! Hahaha
Big hugs from rainy nawth jawjah, honey…
There are too many idiots among us. Way, way too many. 🙂
Reminds me of some conversations I had with dad when he was learning to use the computer. Lol!
Yep, I get that. Some of the older folks just don't get technology. 🙂
Bob doesn't realize how fun it is…
So you're done this then. 🙂
That last one is so funny. the others are good too, but the last one I had to read out loud to the family. Thanks for the laughs.
Well, I can see that last one happening. I really can. 🙂
