When I was younger, I thought growing old would take a long time. It happened too fast for me to count the years. Well, I am a senior now!
Yes it is the way it goes. I’m a senior now too, Nancy. 🙂
LOL, all good ones. I did get old a little faster than I thought I would. I can’t believe all those years when I used to say I can’t wait until I’m this age.
Me too. Funny how quickly it happened too. 🙂
these cracked me up because they are so true. I am indeed that forgetful. And yes the spelling on social networks teaches a person does need to learn to spell because sometimes that little thing that fills in the word for you gives you the wrong word, lol. And aging — yeah, that’s one — I keep expecting to be able to do things I always used to be able to do or remembered that I used to do and suddenly it’s not so easy. Last couple of months suddenly I can’t open jars. I had to ask the vending machine guy to open a bottle of pop. So nutty. I never expected that. Hmmmm, maybe it’s a sign. Stop drinking pop! (I went back on it. I do love sodas, sighs.)
I know that the wrong word is often the first choice and some folks don’t get that it’s the wrong word. I quit the sodas years ago and now I can’t stand the taste. Go figure. 🙂
#1 is a talent, one I and many of us have mastered quite well 😂
Thanks for the giggles, Sandee – Hope you have a lovely day! xx
Yes and I have that talent. You’re most welcome, Caz. Happy week. 🙂
Sandee,
I hate it when I walk 10 feet from one room to the next totally forgetting what I fixing to do. That just drives me nuts! Often times the brain doesn’t go with you when you follow your heart, especially if has to do with love. lol I’m in complete denial about the whole getting old thing. You can just count me out on that one altogether. Nope, I’m not old and never will be! See, didn’t I tell you utterly and blissfully ignoring this factor in my world. 😀 Happy Tuesday, dearie! xx
Hubby and I do this often. We go downstairs to do something and then forget what we went downstairs to do. We come back upstairs and then remember what it was we wanted to do downstairs. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
Mom gets really frustrated when people spell wrong, and FB is a giant playing field for folks who can’t spell. She also forgets what she was about to do a lot. Old age I guess.
That’s the truth and some do shortcuts. Those make me crazy too. 🙂
Sandee you excel at making me giggle every single Tuesday.
I especially like the bottom two
Hugs Cecilia
I try to keep thing light over here. Too much negative out there. Hug back. 🙂
They are all winners! Have a terrific Tuesday!
Yes they are, Molly. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
Those are all very funny. I had a good giggle. Love the one about Facebook. So true. Sandee, you and Zane have a perfect day.
Facebook isn’t my favorite place, but it’s the only place to talk to some folks so I keep it. You have a perfect day too, Marg. 🙂
Oh yea, spelling isn’t what it used to bee!
Isn’t that the truth. 🙂
Yep, everyone should take the brain along. In fact, i’ve gotten to the point where i thank mine every time it comes along and helps me remember something. It seems to help!
I hear you. Sometimes I lose mine. It’s not a good thing. 🙂
Hi, Sandee!! I have been wondering about Spelling Bees. Do they even have them anymore?
Hubby & I have a movie date nite tonight. Enjoy your day, my friend. 💖🤗 ((Hugs))
I’m sure they do somewhere. Enjoy your movie night. Big hug. 🙂
So true on the spelling! And I’m 68 this coming June. How did that happen?
I’m 68 now and will be 69 in September. Yikes. 🙂
That last one is an understatement! Happy Tuesday.
Every work day, I say goodbye to Angel in her upstairs apartment, then I go downstairs to get ready to leave for the day. And every day, I forget something upstairs, and have to go back up again! Angel looks at me like I’m whackadoodle…which is correct…but I get to smooch her a 2nd time.
Double kisses are a good thing. I like that and so does Angel. Just saying. 🙂
Amen on that facebook spelling bee! lol
Yes indeed. It’s something else indeed. 🙂
That Facebook spelling is spot on and I’m not gonna’ lie… I’ve been guilty of it but since I’ve installed Grammarly my spelling has greatly improved! 🙂 Happy Tuesday, Sandee! xoxo <3 Big hugs.
I hear you. Sometimes I do fine and sometimes not so much. Big hugs back. 🙂
Getting old-er, not old! I refuse to think of myself as old. I’ve matured though and proud of it! Happy Tuesday!
I’m not old either. I’m proud too. Happy Tuesday, my friend. 🙂
I forgot to get old.
It’s different for you, Kismet. 🙂
It’s amazing how fast life can zip by! Have a great day!
It is indeed, Kathe. 🙂
Following your heart while not forgetting to use the brain is sound advice for a good life.
Yes indeed, Viola. 🙂
Ha…I needed that advice a couple months ago when my heart led my brain into a face-plant the day after Christmas. At least the pet rocks didn’t laugh…too much.
Oh there is a story here. I would love to know what it is. 🙂
A mere two years ago I felt like a (rotund) thirty-year-old. My body seems to have disintegrated in every possible way since. Oh, well. I’m so blessed to have my husband by my side. ~nods~ I like that: Follow your heart but remember to take your brain along. 🙂
Yes and yes. It’s a good way to operate. 🙂
Happy Tuesday, Sandee! <3
Same to you, Barbara. 🙂
I think the main reason I always forget what I’m doing is because I’m so easily distracted by just about anything else but what I’m supposed to be focusing on! I can do a lot of things at once, as long as I don’t need to finish any of them. LOL
Happy Tuesday indeed!
That makes two of us. Okay, hubby is as bad as I am. Happy Tuesday, my friend. 🙂
Good sayings, Sandee. The last one is perfect and not practiced as often as I’d like to see.
Jean
I hear you on that one. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
I am positively DYING laughing about the facebook one!!! Soooooooooooo true! Love you!!
It’s that the truth. Bless their hearts. Love you too, Caren. Scritches to the boys. 🙂
Hello, Hello, Hello!!! Who luvs ya baaaaa – beeeeeeeeee!!! Let’s start out with a BIG HUGE HUG! I love hugs & a kiss hello & a kiss for see ya later… NEVER GOOD-BYE! Hope you’re doing great today! I also hope your boating season comes soon. I know you’re anxious to get out there. Well, believe or not the Christmas stuff is just about done. All taken down, but now it’s time to bring it all downstairs and pack away! YUK! I feel bad I cannot help Dave. Stairs & I don’t get along I guess. Have a wonderful day and do you have a pet? What is it and what’s its name? Love you sooooooooooo much!!!!! HUGSSS
It’s still a bit cold, but in another three weeks or so we’ll be back at it. I can’t wait. Stay off those stairs and Dave knows you don’t need to be on them. Love you bunches my wonderful friend. 🙂
Is it wrong that I relate to all four of the funnies today? LOL
Happy Tuesday!
No, they all relate to me and that’s why I post them. Happy Tuesday. 🙂
Age comes in the blink of an eye, doesn’t it??? My mind is still young, but the kids in my classes are calling me ma’am. 🙂
I hear you, my mind is still young too, but my body knows I’m 68. It’s all good. 🙂
Happy Tuesday!! These are all so just wonderful. The forgetting while your doing the thing happens to use all the time at home. Thanks for the sharing this wonderful post. Have a fantastic rest of your day.
Hubby and I are pros at that one. You have a fantastic rest of the day too. 🙂
Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful Tuesday.
Thanks for swinging by, Patrick. Always a pleasure to see you. 🙂
Thanks for the laughs
You’re most welcome. 🙂
Thanks for another Terrific Tuesday, Sandee… 😀 😀 😀 Have a great week!
You’re most welcome, Bette. Have a great week too. 🙂
Good ones as usual
Thanks, Joe. Most appreciated. 🙂
Always fun ‘sayings here.’ ~ Good to laugh ^_^
Happy Moments to You,
A ShutterBug Explores,
aka (A Creative Harbor)
Thanks, Carol. I try to keep things light here. Happy day to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂
Oh my gosh, I attended my child’s spelling bee this year and was like what in the heck is that word. Makes you feel super dumb!
It sure does. Kids are way smarter than we give them credit at times. 🙂
I always love these little “truisms,” Sandee. Almost all of them hit close to home for me. Thanks for linking up Periwinkle and Stinky. I really have a hard time remembering Happy Tuesday, as I used to never post on Tuesdays and now only do it every other week. I will try to get with the program. Hugs and love, Janet
No problem, Janet. I’ll always link you so not to worry. Love and hugs back. 🙂
Oh my. That getting old thing definitely creeps up on you. I’d like to turn back the clock a bit.
Yes it does. I’m looking at 69 my best birthday. 🙂
