Living in a warzone must have been a tough time. It is so important to have a peaceful home in which you can recharge.
Hubby and I have a very peaceful home. I didn’t know there was such a thing when I was a kid. 🙂
A quiet weekend anywhere would work for me. Not that it’s noisy at home but it would be nice to get away.
I’ve got a couple of good books to ready on the back of my boat this weekend. I’m ready. 🙂
What a cutie heheh!
Nice fillins Sandee some heartwarming too, I hate bad atmosphere’s must had been hard at times
Have a meowtastic FFS 🙂
It was like walking on eggshells all the time. I had a rough time, but mom had an even rougher time. 🙂
Yay, Feline Friday! And you’ve got another purrrfect centerfold for us. This one reminds me of the 1950s glamour gals like Russell and Monroe with a touch of the haughty Deitrich.
Yes this is the purrfect centerfold for you. Have a purrfect weekend. 🙂
Beautiful cat, and every child deserves love and a peaceful home. May your weekend to relax and read come soon!
Yes they do and I made sure my son had a peaceful home. I’m all set to read this weekend on the back of our boat. No working. 🙂
Living in a warzone sounds terrible! You deserve a quiet weekend on a boat to read all you want!
It was terrible. When I was 16 I left home one morning never to return. 🙂
Sounds terrible living there. Good plan to read.
It was terrible. Always on guard. Always waiting for the next rage. 🙂
Those are some great fill-ins and the Mom can relate to them.Reading is one of her favorite things to do. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day and a super weekend.
I’m ready to read all weekend long. Got my books all ready to pack. 🙂
That’s a beautiful cat…. I’m so very sorry to hear that you grew up in a ‘war zone’. and dearly hope you’ve now gotten past that so you can live in happiness and peace.
Long past that. Made peace with my past long ago. Hubby and I live in a quiet and peaceful home. Not a house, a home. 🙂
Homes are MUCH better than mere houses!
HI, its Me Lucy! I wrote about a good game for cats today: Merry Chase! https://wordpress.com/post/curioussteph.com/5696
Thanks for joining Feline Friday, Lucy. I sure appreciate it. I appreciate your mom too. 🙂
That cat looks like a tiger.
I’m sure it thinks it is a tiger too. 🙂
Sorry about your bad start in the world but you sure turned into a good adult despite it all. You deserve some peace and quiet to read.
It was a lot of work to work through my childhood, but I did it without blaming the world for anything. I’m heading to the boat shortly and will take up the reading. 🙂
Very cute kitty. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am sorry you had a rough childhood. I a glad you have a peaceful life now. Have a great weekend- I hope you get to do lots of reading. XO
My rough childhood made me what I am today. A completely different person than I started out to be. 🙂
We’re always fans of quiet weekends!
I agree. We love quiet and peaceful weekends. 🙂
I’m so sorry for your unhappy childhood home. Hope you get that weekend!
It was bad for me, but worse for my mother. Why she didn’t leave I’ll never know. 🙂
Dad a volitle temper as well we learned to stay out of his was.
My dad was very destructive with his temper. Tearing doors off hinges. Overturning the table with a just prepared dinner. Hitting you square in the face with his fist. Oh he was a delight. 🙁
Thanks for linking us up. Mom says that she can totally relate to your #4. She says that thanks to her grandparents she still had a pretty good childhood. #1 sounds lovely…you have your own boat? We support HSUS as well. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I didn’t have that luxury. I’m glad you did. Yes we have a boat. A 34 food Sea Ray Sundancer. We love her so very much. Pawkisses to all the kitties. 🙂
I’m sorry you lived in a war zone but I’m happy you have a peaceful, loving home with Zane now. I hope you’re able to enjoy a quiet weekend on your boat too!
It was what it was. I thought it was normal because my dads brother was just as bad. I just thought it was the way men acted. It took me some time to like men. I had a lot of battles to fight before I came out the other end. Yes, Zane and I are very happy and live in a peaceful home. 🙂
It must be hard growing up in a ‘war zone’. So glad you have a peaceful life now. Cute kitty pic as always!
Have a great weeked!
It way trying to say the least. I survived though and learned so many valuable lessons. You have a great weekend too. 🙂
Cute kitty. Mommy needed some time away to just chill. She’s not a big reader. But, now we’re playin’ ketch up and she says she feels like she’s drownin’. MOL big hugs
Luv ya’
Dezi and Raena
She’ll catch up. You need to give her some extra love this week. Luv you back. 🙂

It’s not fun one bit. I’m glad we both survived. 🙂
I’m glad your living in the war zone is in the past. Beautiful kitty and enjoy your reading this weekend.
I’m having a great time reading this weekend. Going to turn off the computer shortly and read. I’ve having my morning coffee and the sun is shining. All is right with the world. 🙂
As it should be! 🙂
🤓
Growing up in a warzone must have been so terrible. I cannot even imagine. I am glad your life is more peaceful now.
It wasn’t fun at all. i felt even worse for my mom. She got the brunt of everything. 🙂
Thank God the war zone days are over and behind you. Have a beautiful and peaceful weekend!
I’m thankful every single day that those days are behind me. You have a beautiful and peaceful weekend too, Nancy. 🙂
Oh, such a cute cat! 🙂
I go for cute in a big way. Nice to meet you Nikki. 🙂
Sandee,
Wow, you left home at 16! What hard choice and life you had, my dear. I’m happy things have turned out good for you in the end. God bless and thanks for being such a sweet friend!

Yes I did and I had a job by the end of the day. I also had a place to live. It was meant to be. Thank you for being such a sweet friend too, Cathy. 🙂
The Humane Society is a an excellent choice for a charity to support. Gorgeous kitty 🙂
I agree, Ellen. I love our four legged family members so very much. 🙂
What a lovely Saturday it’s turning out to be. I bought my Charlie (our dog – Chocolate/black lab he’s around 2) a 20 ft chain for the backyard so he can run around now… he loves it & so do hubby & I… a happy dog is good! Charlie loves to bark & he’s loud though, hates the mail lady & goes nuts every day when he hears her & he loves chewing on wires & ends of rugs… I’m trying Tabasco… I think it’s working!!! Thank you so much for stopping by! hugs…….
If Charlie is having a good time everyone is having a good time. Tabasco should work. Yikes.
Have a fabulous day, my friend. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by on Saturday ~ xxx
Happy Weekend to you,

You’re most welcome, Carol. 😎
I was a Humane Society kitty. I am glad my mommy found me there. Great answers. Have a wonderful weekend.

xoxox
Way close. No wonder we love each other. 🐶
That cat favors our newest family member. 🙂
1.I could really use a higher salary doing the same job. 🙂
2.Homeless Veterans is a charity that I like to support.
3.One time, I broke my phone screen and I didn’t even care all that much.
4.I wish I had the knowledge I have now, when I was young.
Number four is excellent. Me too. 🌷
Our Female Human says “Amen” to the growing up in a war zone thing. She says this is why she is such a peacemaker and enjoys quiet and order in her house. Although with five felines there is only so much order she can get but she makes an exception for us.
Purrs & Head Bonks,
Tucker
I love peace and quiet. Kitties don’t cause trouble. Kitties are purrfect. 🐺 🐱
“Seriously? Do I look like I want to put on a harness and go for a walk? You must have me confused with the dog.”
There are a few kitties that don’t mind the harness. A few. 🙂
Oh no on number 4! I’m sorry.
I hope my home seems peaceful to my kids. It’s loud and there is always something going on, but we are pretty chill mostly 🙂
I survived and didn’t repeat the horrible childhood I had on my son. I’m thankful for that. 🙂
I’m kind of going backwards here but wanted to fill in a few lines.
I could really a playful swot and a scratchy tongue grooming my hand.
The Humane Society and their Wildlife Rescue is a charity that I like to support.
One time, I broke my nose, and chickened out of the surgery.
I wish I had learned more instruments and languages when I was young.
Hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful start to the week.
Sorry I’m so late finding these. This week has been a blur. Oh well. It’s almost the weekend again. 🙂
Hi Sandee, a break on the boat sounds like a plan! It sounds like you are catching up on your peace and quiet these days, and who can blame you?… That cat does not look like one to mess with!
xx
It was a wonderful weekend of reading and relaxing. 🙂
