Your answer to number 3 reminds me of my parents back when I was growing up. At election time people didn’t tell each other who they voted for. I remember asking my dad once and he wouldn’t say.

I agree with #3. It annoys me when we are on a cruise and someone starts asking my political views and what I think the government should be doing.
I tell them that I am here to relax and do not discuss politics or religion because it usually leads to arguments.
Most people accept that and I only ever had one person who kept on. I politely told him that if he didn’t change the subject we would ask to be moved to another table. He didn’t, so we did!
We don’t go for set dining so we just kept an eye out that we didn’t get seated with him again.
I hear you and some people will not shut up. You can’t get them to understand that you don’t want to hear about their politics. 🙂

Getting a tax refund is nice, but actually owing is better because it means you got to keep your own money and the government didn’t get to use it for free until your refund was sent out. TGIF.

3 I don’t tell many people I’m an introvert. It’s usually pretty obvious.
4 When it rains I like to sit on the porch and watch. When it has lightning, I find a safe place

I think idiots are toxic, so I believe we have a similar allergy.
Our taxes are done but I don’t like writing the check until I have to.
As far as my political views I just tell people that I don’t trust politicians…period.
I’ve been within 50 feet of lightning strikes three times, so I prefer to be somewhere else when the sky turns electric.

We are getting a couple of bucks back from both state and fed, but it’s a paltry sum. This is our 2nd year in a row that I’ve used a CPA, and he’s worth every penny due to the stress level being removed from my shoulders. Numbers are a foreign language to me; I remember as a child, being afraid of the multiplication tables!
Yes if you’ve got complicated filings then a CPA is the way to go. Hubby does our taxes and I’m good with that. 🙂

I’m allergic to idiots, too! We got our taxes done as well and we owed Uncle Sam a whopping $52 this year. The IRS is an outdated and unneeded entity which needs to be eliminated but I don’t think that’ll ever happen.
The kitty must be wearing camo to blend in with her background so to watch the humans without suspicion. 🙂
