Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. Looking back, _____________.
2. _____________ is a treat I give to myself.
3. A new skill I want to learn is _________.
4. One bad habit I want to stop is _______.

Here are my answers:
1. Looking back, I made some great career choices.
2. A manicure and pedicure is a treat I give to myself.
3. A new skill I want to learn is having more fun.
4. One bad habit I want to stop is not exercising enough.

Our granddaughter gave us twins on Wednesday.  A boy and a girl.  Mom is doing fine and the babies are very small and were taken to UC Davis.  Prognosis is good.  We are most grateful.

I really need to get back to the gym. I fractured my foot in November and couldn’t tie shoes up despite still being able to walk, so I haven’t been in a couple of months. Looking forward to getting back next week when they open properly again.

    • Sandee says:

Yes, They are most cute too. Our granddaughter had a video conference call yesterday and he’s going to go see them tomorrow. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Yes it is and they are doing very well. According to your granddaughter they should be home within a week or two. 🙂

  2. Cecilia Upchurch says:

Oh my goodness twinies how very very wonderful to hear. Congrats to the parents you must keep us posted on their progress.
The kitties eyes are gorgeous…..like the deep blue seas
    Hugs Cecilia

  3. 15andmeowing says:

Congratulations on the great grandtwins! That is a cute kitty. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I wish I could say the same about career choices 🙂 Pedicures are the best! Have a wonderful weekend! XO

    • Sandee says:

I was lucky on my career choice. I didn’t know it at the time, but over time I realized I did well. Have a wonderful weekend too, Ellen. 🙂

  4. Jen says:

Whew! I have really dropped off the blogging sphere this week! Kids are home and we are still partying! Maybe I ought to go get a manicure on Monday to celebrate them going back to school? 🙂

  5. Kismet says:

Oh nooooo. UC Davis? They’ll be raised on a diet of Sauvignon Blanc in the morning and Merlot at night. Then again, that may not be a bad idea.

    • Sandee says:

Oh I want to go there then. What a diet. They are doing very well. Mom and dad are going to visit them tomorrow. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I hate back injuries. They just make it almost impossible to do anything. The babies are doing very well. Have a great weekend. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I love dogs and kitties. Dogs are more time consuming, but they are ever so fun. Thanks for swinging by, Paul. You and your wife have a great weekend. 🙂

  6. Jan K says:

Congratulations on your new grandchildren!! I like your answer to #3. I used to have a lot more fun than I do now, it seems to be a skill I’ve lost as as I’ve gotten older.

  7. violaetcetera says:

Congrats on your granddaughter’s children! I am glad to hear prognosis is good and the mother is fine as well.
I should excercise more as well, for now I hope walking our dogs every day is enough.

    • Sandee says:

An adorable kitty indeed. I would love to have this one. You have a great weekend, Carol. Scritches and lovies to Ms. Zoe. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

They are both doing very well and my granddaughter is too. She had a tough pregnancy. Sick for many months. She’s no longer sick. 🙂

  8. Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

Congrats on the new babes! I’m glad to hear mom and children are doing well. A baby is always a blessing. Two? I’m sure your cup runneth over. 🙂

    1 – Looking back, I don’t think I’d change much.
2 – Chocolate kisses every now and again is a treat I give to myself.
3 – A new skill I want to learn is how to speak Spanish.
4 _One bad habit I want to stop is going to bed too early on weeknights.

    • Sandee says:

I love your answer to #1. Doing it right the first time is a good thing.

Yes a baby is always a blessing and in this case two babies are a double blessing. 🙂

      • Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

I definitely did not do everything right the first time on some things, but any change of course my alter my having 4 children, and I kinda’ like those kiddos around. 😀 PLUS mistakes really do help us stretch and grow. Life would probably be boring if we didn’t make them. 🙂

  9. The OP Pack says:

Our grandtwins, boy and girl, turned 12 on Tuesday – how did THAT happen??? They too were small at birth but did very well. Mom says it has been delightful to watch them grow up together. So much the same and yet so different. And the bond between them, even being opposite sexes, is very, very strong!!!

Now about that cute kitty – what a DOLL!!!

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    • Sandee says:

I can’t wait to see these two out and about. I’m sure they will be such a delight to us. We love them already and that’s a good thing. We are just happy that everyone is doing fine. Our granddaughter had a very tough pregnancy. 🙂

  10. Marti says:

Congratulations on the great grands! I love your Friday Fill-ins too. You have such a positive outlook. Everyone should have “make more time for fun” on their New Years list. 😉

    • Sandee says:

I’m happy that I’ve always had a positive outlook. I’ve know people that have a negative outlook on just about everything. They are hard to be around. 🙂

  11. Kitties Blue says:

Thanks for linking us up. Congratulations on the birth of the great grand babies. What fun you are going to have. Glad everyone is doing well. I had to click on that cute cat, and then follow the link to the calendar with the buff guys with the cats. Wowzers…made my day. Good luck with the exercise. It really is good for you. Hugs, Janet

    • Sandee says:

They are doing well. My granddaughter and her honey spend the day with the babies today. All is good.

You’re the only one that went to see where the kitties came from and you got to see the eye candy. Good for you. 🙂

  12. meowmeowmans says:

Aww, look at that little cutie. It looks like it’s dreaming of what the new year has in store. 🙂

Thank you for hosting, Sandee. Happy weekend!

    • Sandee says:

It probably is doing just that. You’re most welcome for the hosting. I hope you’re having a happy weekend. 🙂

  13. Sami Veloso says:

Congratulations on the great-grandkids and twins too! My parents became great-grandparents for the third time at the end of December from my niece who lives in San Francisco. And at the end of March another one will be born in Perth (my grandchild).
A cutie cat too. Happy New Year to you and family.

    • Sandee says:

They are so precious. We’ve not seen them yet because they are still in the hospital and we want to make sure mom and dad have all the time they can have, but we are looking forward to visiting them when they come home. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I’m sure they will as their parents love all kitties and pups. We’re so excited about getting to meet them. 🙂

  14. Suzanne Gunter McClendon says:

I missed the part about the babies the first time through! How wonderful! What a precious, precious blessing. I know you are beyond thrilled. I know that I would be. 🙂 The song “One Boy, One Girl” went through my mind as I read your note. Our neighbors had their first baby on New Year’s Day. So, we have a new grand-neighbor. 🙂

Have a blessed Sunday and week!

    • Sandee says:

Mom and dad are on their way to see the babies today. We hope they can come home in about a week. We’ve not seen them yet. We’re leaving the time free for mom and dad. All is going well. 🙂

      • Suzanne Gunter McClendon says:

I hope that the babies will be fine and get to come home very soon. My brothers were little bitty things, too. They weighed just about 5 lbs each when they were born. Neither Mama nor the doctor knew that twins were coming. Talk about surprises!

I hope that you get to see them soon!

  15. Cathy Kennedy says:

    Sandee,

I enjoyed your Friendly Fill-ins. I agree with number four on having more fun. You can never have too much of that for sure. When I exercise daily I think I do well, it’s the eating of bad stuff that I need to cut out because that’ s like shooting myself in the foot. Boy, does that hurt! 🙂

    • Sandee says:

The twins are doing fine and may get to come home next weekend. On Thankful Thursday I have photographs of them. So precious. 🙂

  16. L.M.G. Miller says:

Oh, what a beautiful photo. Those eyes! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! You know, I have never had a manicure or pedicure, and I don’t think I ever will. I have never been keen on others touching my hands and feet, so I don’t think I’m a prime candidate for such activities. But, I am with you on having more fun! I hope 2019 is treating you well!

    • Sandee says:

I love friendly fill-ins. It’s a good way to take a deeper look at things. I love my nail and toes appointments. A guilty pleasure. 🙂
