  1. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Kitty is carefully planning the next move. I agree with #1. It is not good to have to pre-plan everything to keep yourself safe, but it must be done. We usually go to a hotel for Christmas where everything is included because it is only the two of us. For the second year it won’t be happening. Oh to be able to go back two years and stop this pandemic before it starts.
I hope you are able to have an enjoyable time on your boat.

    • Sandee says:

We’re all by ourselves and I have books to read. It will be a quiet weekend. Yes I would love to go back before this pandemic. So tired of it. 🙂

Game of feline chess anyone? heheh!

I liked the replies If I saw a ghost I would run a mile lol hope you manage to be on your boat this weekend 👍

    Have a Halloweentastic FFS 👍

    • Sandee says:

This is one smart kitty. We’re heading to the boat later today for three nights. Looking forward to probably our last weekend on the boat until next spring. Have a great weekend, Steve. 🙂

  3. Ann Thompson says:

That cat seems to be in deep thought about what it’s next move is going to be. Love it.
I guess for Halloween I will be doing the usual, turning out lights and watching tv in the dark.

    • Sandee says:

We won’t be home and that’s a good thing. We used to do the candy thing, but it’s to tiring for us anymore. Have a great day off tomorrow. 🙂

  4. messymimi's meanderings says:

It would not surprise me if cats can play chess, but just choose not to play with us because we’d be to easy to beat. They always seem to know our next move, after all.

Being thankful is never out of season, is it.

Hope you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous time on your boat this weekend, hugs!

  5. Cecilia Upchurch says:

    Sandee,
    I love your header!!
We all know cats are smart enough to do anything ….if they want to do.
My daddy always said my Mama, my daughter and I could/would and probably have talked to a telephone pole.
Once while on vacation in a state far away from NC, Daddy and Mama stopped for a loo break. Lo and behold when Mama came out of the bathroom she had 2 new BFFs.
So of course we’d talk to a Ghost.
    Happy Halloween Cruise.
    Hugs Cecilia

Cute chess playing kitty. I love your Halloween header. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except I am sorry you don’t feel safe anymore. I am glad you will get to be on your boat for Halloween. Have a wonderful weekend. XO

    • Sandee says:

I live in California and not many feel safe here. You have a wonderful weekend too, Ellen.

Thank you for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-Ins.

    3) If I saw a ghost I’d strike up a conversation with iot.
    4) being Greatful for what I have( I try to do that all year round)

  10. UP says:

Rainy here, I doubt we’ll see our yard cats today. and…

My main concern right now is the nation!.
I plan to hibernate for Halloween this year.
If I saw a ghost, I would pray it away!.
This time of year, trying to stay warm is a personal tradition of mine. lol

    • Sandee says:

Love your fill-ins. Today it’s going to be in the 70s. Perfect boating weather and that’s where we’re going this weekend. Yes on #1. That’s part of why I don’t feel safe and I live in California. 🙂

  11. kittiesblue says:

I am so with you on #1. There really isn’t anywhere one can go anymore that is safe from the virus or crazy people with guns. I guess your boat is a good place if you are not near any others. Thanks for linking us up. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, angel Mauricio, Misty May, angel Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy, Sawyer & Kizmet with special head bonks from Coop and Sawyer. p.s. Bet that cat could beat me at chess.

  12. Cathy Kennedy says:

    Sandee,

We live in a world where we don’t know who’s evil because it hides itself amongst us, so feeling unsafe is normal. I pray continuously for God to keep me and mine safe. I hope you have a good time on the boat this weekend. We’ll no doubt be home staying low to not attract callers and if they come then we won’t answer the door. I think it’s best to keep kids home or at least to a more structured gathering instead of going door to door. Thankfully, our street is generally pretty dead on Halloween. I’m not sure if I’d talk to a ghost unless it appeared friendly. 🙂 Like you, this time of year I share the same thankful sentiments and I appreciate those feelings. I’m happy that I’m overall a content person knowing from whom all blessings flow.

  13. Marv, Jo Jo, Kozmo, Cinnamon and Barb says:

We LOVE your Halloween headers! And that cat, I think that it is planning to knock all those chess pieces on the floor! (or at least that is what Marv would do) And your fill-ins rock! I would LOVE to spend Halloween on a boat instead of waiting on the kids who will come by our house…as the town where the elementary school is, all the rural kids come in to trick or treat. But then, it is Sunday this year…Marv and I hope that you have a marvellously happy weekend!

  14. A ShutterBug Explores says:

Love this kitty photo ~ concentrating so well ~ wonderful fill ins ~ I don’t feel particularly safe right now ~

  15. Jen says:

Oh no, not feeling safe! I hope that’s not an everyday thing?! I don’t like being in my house alone overnight. It’s too big alone and I just rattle around, so I get it.

  16. meowmeowmans says:

Halloween on your boat sounds real nice, Sandee. That cat totally looks like it’s contemplating its next move.

Happy Halloween, friend. Thank you for hosting!
