Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:

2. I am currently watching ( or reading) _____________.
3. I would recommend _________ to anyone who _________.
4. I can do without _________ as long as _________.

Here are my answers:

2. I’m currently watching Unforgotten on Amazon Prime.
3. I would recommend dumping social media to anyone who wants peace.

The only thing that has ever worked for me for hiccups is a eating a big spoonful of peanut butter. Gets rid of them ever time.
Unfortunately I love my sweets and comfort food far too much 🙂

  2. Cathy Kennedy says:

    Sandee,

I don’t think I can do without sweets altogether but I don’t crave them as bad as I used to which is a blessing. Yay, me! Oh definitely dumping social media is a great idea to restore peace in your life. I did that last year like you and am all the happier for having done so. Blogging is my only form of social media and for the most part my circle of bloggy pals are normal, loving people. Cute kittens! Oh here’s something you’ll like, while visiting an A2Zer while playing catch up, one post she photographed a sign that belonged to her mother that read “Cats are just tiny women in cheap fur coats”. I thought that was a gas! Have a good weekend, darlin’!

I keep my social media for the blog. I hate Facebook but sponsors like it. Never use it for anything but them. Same with Twitter. I do like Instagram, I think the picture feeds are fun to post and see. 🙂 Here’s mine:

My cure for the hiccups is to try yours since I have none of my own.
I am currently watching ( or reading) interactive notebooks (grading before school starts).
I would recommend peace to anyone who is struggling.
I can do without most anything as long as my kids, grandkids and pet are doing a-okay!

    Wishing you a wonderful day!

    • Sandee says:

If you need it for making money then that’s good. I’ve never made money on my blog. Thanks for playing along. I’m with you on number 4. You have a wonderful day and weekend. 🙂

  4. messymimi's meanderings says:

Awww! That picture made my morning much brighter.

Your hiccup cure sounds a lot easier than mine, if you keep limes and Angostura bitters around. My “social media” consists of my friends who blog and one proboards site where i have friends, and i keep the negativity out that way.

Hope you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous weekend!

    • Sandee says:

I’m happy about that, my friend. I love your fix for hiccups. Not sure I could pull it off without getting water all over myself. You and Mr. Sweetie have a fabulous weekend too. 🙂

  5. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee, that kitten looks a lot like I did 6-something years ago! Same colors – everything except my eyes are greener and my stripes are a bit different. Still, at first glance, that could have been one of my baby pictures.

I agree with you about social media, and only blog/email furiends… have been doing that for over a year since I was so rudely treated on Twitter… Can’t even log on to see what anyone else is meowing about! IMHO, they need to do serious research about the evils of masks and HCQ before they treat those of us who have researched from sharing our findings!

Mom! You know there is always that one touchy/feely family member that has to hug and kiss everyone…well, it’s sister.
    1. My cure for the hiccups is old school…hold my breath for a few seconds.
    2. I am currently watching (or reading) the Bible…Philippians to be exact.
    3. I would recommend turning off network news to anyone who wants a little peace and quiet.
    4. I can do without fishing as long as there is photography. But don’t ask me to do without both.

  7. 15andmeowing says:

Such cute kitties. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday an for participating in the fill-ins. I always enjoy your answers. I have never heard of the lime cure. I try to avoid social media except to say Happy Birthday on FB to people. Have a nice weekend. XO

  8. kittiesblue says:

I wish I could do without sweets. I used to be addicted to salt, but somewhere along the way that switched. Whenever I see a kitten I want to adopt it. These two are precious. Thanks for always linking me up. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Janet

  9. Invisibly Me says:

I’d never heard of a lime wedge for hiccups before. Does it work without the angostura bitters? What can often work for me, but not always, is tipping my head upside down and pretending to drink and swallow for a few minutes, which isn’t easy when you’re too parched to actually dry swallow!

How are you finding Unforgotten? That’s the UK drama, isn’t it? It gets some great reviews so I hope you’re enjoying it.

Have a restful weekend, both of you 🌻 xxxx

    • Sandee says:

I don’t know if the lime is enough. It’s a bartenders trick and that’s the way it was done. Worked every time.

I love Unforgotten. We love crime shows and we love English crime shows. Happy weekend, Caz. 🙂

  10. yvonne473 says:

OMG! Those kittens are adorable. Great fill ins. I’m with you about social media. For some reason, I can’t tear myself away but I really need to. I get so aggravated with people sometimes. Hope you have a great weekend!

  11. Sandra Hangey says:

your 3 and 4 are good for me also. I am currently reading Kindle unlimited book 8 of Last Change County Series of 10 books by Lisa Phillips.

  13. Mareli Thalwitzer says:

There truly is no better way to start your weekend than with a book and a feline.

I agree with the social media ban for peace! I try to stay connected with the blog as much as possible, but the rest I’ve been cutting quite a lot.

Oh gosh, I struggle to stay away from sweets….LOL!!

  14. Patricia says:

Sweet kitties! I just finished watching ClickBait on Netflix. It was kinda scary because I could see where something like it could really happen. The ending was a total surprise to me.

  15. meowmeowmans says:

Aww, look at those little cuties. That tiny tongue cleaning the other one is adorable!

I will try that lime trick next time I get the hiccups, sandee. Thank goodness I very rarely get them anymore, though. 🙂

Have a great weekend, my friend.

  16. Jan K says:

I’m trying to give up sweets. I didn’t think I could, but it’s not as difficult as I thought it would be. Luke gives me all the sweetness I need! ♥
