Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. My plans for the weekend include ___________.
2. I ________________fireworks.
3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to _________.
4. _________ make(s) a house a home.

Here are my answers:
1. My plans for the weekend include nothing different. We’re staying home. All the idiots are out on the water and it’s frightening to take your boat out. Booze and boats don’t go together.
2. I’m not a fan of fireworks. It scares our four legged babies.
3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to do as I wish. There are those that would love to rule the rest of us. Frightening.
4. Love makes a house a home. I’ve lived in both and the home is by far the best.

  1. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

We have stayed at home since the beginning of March with a very few essential exceptions and nothing is going to change us from doing that any time soon. More restrictions are relaxed from tomorrow and I can see it being a free for all!
The pubs are allowed to open as long as they follow guidelines. They couldn’t stop people from swarming onto the beaches, so how do they think they will control drunken pub goers!
That kitty is adorable. I want to kiss those little jelly bean pads.

Aww! so comfy and content 🙂

I agree with your replies Sandee specially no 1 their is quite a lot of them I despair 🙁

Their easing everything here and far too soon so I am staying put for a bit longer

Have a resttastic safe FFS and weekend 😷😷😷

  3. Ann Thompson says:

I have the day off for the 4th but have no plans to go anywhere. There will be a lot of idiots out there and it’s best to stay clear. It’s kind of sad that so many people seem to think that the only way to have a good time is to get “stupid” drunk.

  4. My GBGV Life says:

The 4th of July should be a fun time, but it has turned into a drunken noise festival. Sad really, as we dread it every year. We do nothing but stay home and try not to be scared by all the stupid noise.

  5. 15andmeowing says:

Adorable kitten. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday and thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Good idea to stay home on the 4th- we do too. Booze and cars don’t go well either so we avoid the roads. Have a wonderful 4th! XO

  6. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee happy Independence weekend and thank you for hosting this blog hop… Completely agree with you about #4 – it was a purrfect answer, but I never thought of it because I’ve never lived in just a house.

  7. Sandra Hangey says:

That kitten is so adorable made me smile! We can’t tell our weekends from weekdays we do the same thing 365 days out of the year. And that’s not because of the virus that’s what we’ve always done. I only went to firework one time in my whole life and it’s when my kids who are now in their 50s were eight and 10 and that was the only time we went it was not worth the hassle. I would feel in dogs in the house make it a home and I agree about the love part 2

  8. -Eugenia says:

Cute pic of the kitty! I agree with your answers. Booze and boats and cars are not a good mix. I could care less about fireworks but I’m sure we will hear them in our neck of the woods. Happy Friday and have a great weekend.

  9. Jen says:

We bought a cupcake pinata and will be doing sparklers and a watermelon spitting contest this weekend. It’s 4th of July like when I was a kid 🙂

  10. mjgolch says:

  11. angelswhisper2011 says:

  12. Jan K says:

It’s a same old, same old weekend for us too! We’re always happy to be home with our Luke. ♥
I’m taking a few extra hours off so hope to spend some time in my garden too!

  13. The OP Pack says:

That cute little one is just begging for a tummy rub:)

It will be a quiet weekend here too as we all do our best to tend to sweet Misty.

  14. violaetcetera says:

We are so lucky to live in a home full of love. I know the difference, and it’s really a huge one.
It’s a shame that celebrating for so many people includes drinking too much as well. Stay safe, and have a great weekend!

  15. World Of Animals, Inc. says:

Happy Feline Friday!!! We just love this cute photo so much. We enjoyed your friendly fill-in answers and we are doing the same by staying home and being safe. Thanks for the share. Have a great weekend and hope the fireworks don’t scare you all too much this weekend.

  16. messymimi's meanderings says:

    That is one cool cat.

Your answers to the fill-ins do not surprise me, either. The fact is, i cannot stand people drinking and driving (or boating), so i understand why you stay away from the water on big holiday weekends.

  17. Rosey says:

I like your answers. And yep, our cat is already unhappy about the fireworks, so I’m not much of a fan either. Though I do think the displays (that I highly suspect, though I haven’t checked) won’t be going on this year, are awesome.

    Here are mine:

My plans for the weekend include no technology weekend with the kiddo.
I like professional fireworks (and don’t like the ones you buy).
I’m grateful I have the freedom to make my own choices.
A deed make(s) a house a home (hahaha, I am still striving towards my goal. I’m closer today than I was yesterday). 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I love your answers and the professional fireworks are wonderful. The rest are not. Yes on the freedom and you’ll get that house you want at some point. 🙂

  18. Anne Robinson says:

That is such a cute kitten photo/ Those paws are precious. My day was rough, with a migraine headache but as it progressed I was able to feel better. Tonight is the only chance I had to completely finish my post. Happy INdependence Day to you in 2020. Take care and enjoy your weekend. HUGS xo

    • Sandee says:

I’m glad you’re feeling better. We’re home and plan to stay in until Monday and then it’s to the post office to get our mail. Hugs back, my friend. 🙂

  19. The Menagerie Mom says:

Oh, that kitty is so precious! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I’m lucky in that my furbabies aren’t usually scared of fireworks. That being said, I know there are animals both inside and outside that are terrified of them, and that fact makes me hesitant to truly like fireworks. They’re especially scary when amateurs set them off, like my neighbor was doing in his yard last night. I hope you have a happy and safe Independence Day!

    • Sandee says:

I don’t mind the professional ones but I think the around the neighborhood ones are awful. They do scare our babies. Our Little Bit hated them and would shake and shake until they were long over. 🙂

  20. Pam says:

Cats and kittens find the funniest ways to lay! I love finding Lily Bit in silly positions. Your answers are great.
    Here are this weeks questions:
    1. My plans for the weekend include doing NOTHING!.
    2. I am not a big fan of fireworks.
    3. I’m grateful I have the freedom to be on social media. .
    4. family make(s) a house a home.

  21. meowmeowmans says:

What an adorable kitty, and what a good way to spend the Fourth. 🙂

Sandee, we hear you about the fireworks. People around here have been lighting them since May. Luckily, our cats are amazingly calm about them.

Hope you’re having a good and safe Independence Day!
