Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. June is a good month to ____________.
2. I love to play __________________.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit __________.
4. I’d rather not _________.

Here are my answers:
1. June is a good month to go on a cruise. Our last cruise was in March.
2. I love to play games on my computer. Love the hidden objects and the jigsaw puzzles.
3. I’m not ashamed to admit that I’m a perfectionist. I’m not bragging either. It creates a lot of work at times.
4. I’d rather not go through not getting my regular haircuts and nails done. I swear I looked 10 years older with my shaggy hair and lets not even start about how bad my nails look. Acrylic with shellac is hard to remove. We did it, but my nails are so fragile now. I have an appointment for next Wednesday, but we don’t think the state will allow nail salons to open anytime soon. The salon has already cancelled one appointment for last week. We shall see.

Meowser Ms. Sandee. I think you deserve another cruise. Mom’s nails are a mess, too… she has been digging weeds and that always wrecks her nails. Hope you can get yours fixed… Seems to me that if it is okay for some to scream and complain, it should be fine for others to pamper. I don’t understand why leaders of many governments take hydroxychloroquine as a preventive, but the news claims it doesn’t work… I shall never understand some people.
Thank you for hosting this blog hop…. Today’s kitty looks a lot like my furiend, Brian.

  2. Ann Thompson says:

That picture is so cute. I’m going to tell my daughter she needs to get a couch for her cats…lol
I’ve always enjoyed hidden object games too.

  3. Molly the Airedale says:

That sofa is the perfect fit for that cute kitty! Mom used to do jigsaw puzzles on the computer all the time but she found that she was spending too much time online so now she buys puzzles that she finds on ebay.

  4. messymimi's meanderings says:

The expression on that cat reminds me of me after a day at work, it is saying “ask me to get up from my comfy place at your own risk!”

Great answers, and i am sorry the nail salons are not open there. Here they are allowed to open, but you have to wait in your car, and they have to sanitize everything between clients, and i do mean everything. They have to schedule one person per hour or two so they can clean up well between.

Hope you get to go cruising soon, and that you and Mr. Zane have a fabulous weekend!

    • Sandee says:

I have an appointment for next Wednesday and we’ll see if they open or not. I need some serious help. I’ve done my nails professionally for 25 years. 🙂

  5. My GBGV Life says:

We hope you can get back to cruising soon Our mom also likes perfection and it does make for a lot of work. Mom has naturally long and thick nails, so she does them herself. We’ve heard that acrylic stuff is not good for nails, but many people need it. Happy Friday!

    • Sandee says:

It sure does make for a lot of work at times. Oh well. I wish I had long and think nails. No the acrylic isn’t good for the nails and mine is almost all gone. Happy Friday. 🙂

  6. Deborah says:

I love the way this cat is sitting upon its throne like royalty with a look that says “don’t even think about messing with me!” Really great picture Sandee! Have a safe, healthy, and lovely Friday and weekend! Hugs! 🙂 <3

  7. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

That cat looks very comfy on his sofa.
Yes, June is a good month to cruise. We should have been setting sail tomorrow for the Norwegian fjords and the Midnight Sun. This is the second cruise cancelled this year and I have now cancelled our cruise in September as I don’t think it will be safe by then.

    • Sandee says:

We’re cruising on our own boat. We don’t care for the big cruise ships. Been on them and I get food fatigue quickly and I always get sick. Really sick. 🙂

  8. 15andmeowing says:

That is such a cute photo. If I got my cats a couch like that, they would still use the real one instead. 🙂 Thanks for hosting Feline Friday and thanks for participating in the fill-ins, I always enjoy your answers. I love those online jigsaw puzzles too. And I completely understand #4, my bangs are almost to my lips. Have a nice weekend. XO

    • Sandee says:

Cats sit/sleep/groom and whatever else they want to do anywhere they want. It’s the way of cats. Yes it will be nice when we can resume our usual grooming. Thanks for co-hosting the Friendly Fill-ins. 🙂

  9. Madsnapper says:

I know exactly how you feel about the haircut! My husband cuts my hair but he hurt his arm and it’s been about 6 weeks and he looked at me yesterday and he said tomorrow morning first thing we’re cutting your hair whether it hurts my arm or not because it look like a bush on top of my head. Like you said here I looked older and I said when I looked in the mirror after he cut it I lost 10 lb and 10 years just by getting a haircut. That cat sofa is absolutely the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It’s cat or puppy size it would be good for a Chihuahua also and I love black and white. Hope you can get your nails and hair done soon

  10. DrillerAA says:

Spots& stripes…interesting combination. This feline looks bored to tears with the photo session.

June is a good month to work in the landscape.
I love to play 8 ball pool on the computer. I grew up playing snooker, but those days are long gone..
I’m not ashamed to admit that I am a follower of Christ.
I’d rather not spend the remainder of the year sheltering in place. I am sooooo done with COVID-19 & the 24/7 news coverage of it. I get it already!

  11. Invisibly Me says:

A cat sofa, that’s so cool! I think health and beauty places are going to be very hard to re-open safely. There’s no date for anything like hairdressers or nail salons re-opening here in the UK. When staff have got to be up close to the customer it’s going to be hard to enforce safety precautions, though I imagine a proper mask and face visor could do the trick… Happy Friday, Sandee! I hope you have a restful weekend ahead xx

    • Sandee says:

I got my haircut the first of the month and we waited outside until we were asked in. We used hand sanitizer and they took our temperature. We had to wear our masks the entire time and when they were cutting around your ear they had you take the mask off your ear but keep your hand over the mask that was over you mouth and nose. Worked just fine. 🙂

  12. Jim says:

Hi Sandee — I was sorry about the loss of John. It must be hard to lose a really good friend. Neither of us has had that happen yet. We’ve lost friends, that happens for the elderly, but the closest would be my first cousin but that wasn’t real hard since wev’e been away in Texas for so long. My hardest was the divorce from my first wife. Yes, grown men do cry.
    🙂
    this weeks questions:
    1. June is a good month to travel if you haven’t hone earlier. Things most northern hemisphere will be warm but not too hot. May would be a lot cheaper though.
    2. I love to play golf but I will have to learn how to play like “old folk” because regular ways have been too hard on my artificial knee joint.
    3. I’m not ashamed to admit that even as a “night person” I take naps before now.
    4. I’d rather not talk or write about some of my early adventures and antics. That
I’ve parked my motorcycle gives some insight.
    🙂 🙂
Have a good weekend, I wish you were taking your boat out. I also wish we were still acting like we had a COVID-19 situation. Our TeXas governor doesn’t appreciate the mess his easy treatment of it is making.
    ..

    • Sandee says:

Thanks for playing along, Jim. Things are opening up in some places and not in others. It depends on the county as it appears it does everywhere. I’m not sure what you mean by his easy treatment of it is making. Who are you referring to. I thought the governors were in charge of their states. They sure are here. 🙂

  13. Eastside Cats says:

Methinks this cat needs a bigger sofa!
I have an appointment to get my hair cut next weekend, but my nail salon isn’t yet taking appointments; they said they’ll be closed for June, but I want to get on the books for July!

  14. Jan K says:

I am a perfectionist as well, and we do create more work for ourselves, don’t we?
Good luck with getting your nails done soon!
    Smooches from Luke. ♥

    • Sandee says:

Yes it’s a lot of work at times. I’ve got my fingers and toes crosses that my nail appointment isn’t cancelled next Wednesday. Smoochies to Luke. 🙂

  15. The Canadian Cats says:

Mom got her haircut and looks human again…she did look like an escapee from Devil’s Island! The sofa is just what we need here….its beautiful. Cruise time….great fun….enjoy the summer Sandee.

    Tyebe

  16. violaetcetera says:

I was able to have a haircut last week, and it felt great. Hopefully you will be able to have hair and nails done and cruise very soon! Before lockdown I wasn’t really aware of all the consequences, I enjoy the little things so much now.
    Have a great weekend!

    • Sandee says:

We got our haircuts on June 4th and I had a nail appointment for June 5th. They cancelled that one. I now have a nail appointment for the 17th and again on July 1. I hope I can do both of them. I’m used to going every two weeks. You have a great weekend too, Viola. 🙂

  17. A ShutterBug Explores says:

That kitty and that sofa are a ‘hoot’ ~ love them ~ and your fill -ins are fun ~ We all looked pretty ‘rustic’ after 3 months of ‘stay at home ~ you must look fabulous now ~ ^_^

Xox ~ lots of them to you and hubby from me and Zoe ^_^

  18. -Eugenia says:

Oh, my! That cat looks like royalty! I still haven’t gone back to my nail place even though they are open. My nails are in good shape and I as much as I enjoy getting my nails done, I hate to be a slave to it. I found the SNS nails procedure much kinder to my nails than acrylics. Enjoy your weekend!

  19. meowmeowmans says:

That cat has better furniture than us. Haha. And I love playing hidden object games, too. 🙂

Have a great Sunday, Sandee. Hope you and your hubby are doing well!

  20. Tony McGurk says:

Maybe my Devils can rustle up a Cat for next Friday? Ummm… Perhaps that’s not such a good idea. Binky is already calling the SPCA on me for the frog comic.
    1. June is a good month to stay warm, it’s winter here.
    2. I love to play Bingo. We haven’t had it since lockdown began
    3. I’m not ashamed to admit I am a chocoholic
    4. I’d rather not drive the car. I prefer my motorcycle

  21. Jen says:

I had to cut off 3 inches this week. My hair was such a hot mess. My sister had been cutting her own and the stylist laughed when she cut it this week with how uneven it was. Interesting times!

    • Sandee says:

I trimmed the sides of my hair like I’ve been doing for years and my stylish said I did just fine. I was happy about that. Hot mess didn’t even come close to how bad I looked. 🙂

  22. L.M.G. Miller says:

That kitty look so cute and cozy on its own personal couch! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I can also be a perfectionist. I was actually much more of a perfectionist as a kid, especially when it came to my schoolwork, but as I grew older my perfectionism subdued a bit. It’s not gone, but it’s better than it was. Well wishes!

    • Sandee says:

Mine has subdued too. I’m more relaxed about just about everything anymore. It’s a good thing. Have a great day and thanks for co-hosting the fun. 🙂
