Mommy makes sure she’s kissing each of us at midnight on New years. She says an old wives tale says whatever you’re doin’ as the clock strikes midnight shapes the next year. She says it’s bull, but she luvs us and it’s an excuse to kiss us more. MOL Big hugs

    Luv ya’

Thanks, Steve. You have a great day and weekend too and thanks for being such a loyal participant in the Feline Friday Blog Hop. 🙂

  2. Suzanne Gunter McClendon says:

    What a sweet kitty. 🙂

I think the spring wildflowers is one of the best parts of a New Year, too! Spring often comes fairly early in these parts. Those flowers started blooming in February one year. I was very happy about that.
I hope you get lots of non-yacht club boating time and have a great time.

Have a blessed weekend and a very happy New Year, my friend!

  3. 15andmeowing says:

Thank you for hosting Feline Friday . Such a cute kitten. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers Kindness is a word we all need. Have a wonderful weekend! XO

  4. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee. We don’t do silly stuff on New Year’s Eve, either. Have a purrfect Feline Friday and wonderful weekend.
    Purrseidon
PS Thank you for hosting this blog hop.

  5. -Eugenia says:

Aww, sweet sleeping kitty! We usually go out for early cocktails and then go home for the bewitching hour! Otherwise, New Years is just another day – same goals as last year!? LOL

  6. darlamsands says:

Back in my prime decade, the 1990’s, we went to a comedy club on New Year’s Eve several times. After enjoying the comedians and a countdown celebration, we feasted from a breakfast style buffet. It was fun but unimaginable now, for multiple reasons besides our ages. Even before SJW’s ruined comedy routines we grew distasteful of politics injected by the likes of Christopher Titus, who used to be hilarious. Be well!

    • Sandee says:

I hear you. Politics and religion don’t need to be in a comedy routine. I agree with you. That would be a fun way to bring in the new year. 🙂

  7. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

That is a sweet picture. I am late adding the hop to my post this week as we have been away for Christmas and not long been back home.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas.

    • Sandee says:

You’re not late one bit. It’s open for 48 hours and you’re well within that time frame. Thanks for joining the fun. 🙂

  8. Jan K says:

We don’t celebrate new year’s either. I can’t even remember the last time we did anything special for it! I think my focus word for the new year needs to be “focus” – LOL!

  9. Jim says:

I think that forever cats have liked their tummy rubbed. This sweet one sure is hinting.

    this weeks questions:
    1. On New Year’s Eve, I like staying up until midnight and then I watch the NYC Times Square Ball drop_____.
    2. My focus word for 2020 is __I haven’t chosen one________.
    3. _Celebrating Mrs. Jim’s birthday
is the best thing about starting a new year.
    4. My personal goals for 2020 include ___staying alive until 2021_____.

Do you really want to leave your yatch club memership? When we moved and sold our house on the golf course we saving $480+ a month in club dues. Plus an annual assessment.

    • Sandee says:

Thanks for playing along, Jim. Yes we are no longer interested in organized boating. We knew that last July. When we left that weekend we knew we were done. 🙂

  10. A ShutterBug Explores says:

Kittens and cats sleeping on their backs like that is one of the cutest things cats do. Thank you for linking us up. I may need to get help from Kitties Blue to do the fill-ins this week. I’m coming up dry. Have a really terrific weekend. Love and hugs, Janet

  12. Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

On New Year’s Eve, I will try to stay up until midnight to say Happy New Year’s (we rarely make it, even when we try).
My focus word for 2020 is happy (if we are as happy in 2020 as we were in 2019, we’re set!).
The ‘anything is possible’ feel in the air is the best thing about starting a new year.
My personal goals for 2020 include saving for a house (still) and possibly finding a better paying job that I love as much as teaching (so the saving will go quicker). 😉

I liked your answers and look forward to hearing how you like sailing without the membership, as the year moves forward. Happy New Year!

  13. Invisibly Me says:

Aww that is one contented little kittykat!
I love your word for the year. I’ve been thinking about kindness a lot the last few days and wondering why some people choose not to be kind, when kindness is free and is surely far easier than being mean or ignorant? A little kindness goes a long way.
I hope you manage plenty of boating and all when you want, as you want, without the club. When are you hoping to do your first trip? I’m sure it’ll be something to look forward to 😊
    Caz xx

    • Sandee says:

I don’t know, but many seem so angry anymore. About what I just don’t know. We’ll do fine without organized boating. We’ve not been happy with our club for some years. 🙂

  14. Pam says:
