Sweet cat. Reminds me of one I had years ago.
I love mashed potatoes and gravy. That’s the ultimate comfort food in my book.
I was talking to a lady yesterday at work who said she’s makign lasagna for thanksgiving.

    • Sandee says:

I agree about the potatoes and gravy. Macaroni and cheese too. I like that a lot. Lasagna is a good thing for Christmas dinner. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I make stuffing throughout the year. Hubby loves it and when he’s asks I just make it for him. It’s good for sure. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I love mashed potatoes too and don’t have them very often. Makes them even better. Yes, next Thursday is Thanksgiving in the U.S. Happy Friday to you too, Caz. 🙂

  2. My GBGV Life says:

Great fall photo. Mom loves turkey and stuffing. Steak is even better, but she wants her turkey on Thanksgiving and she would skip every other food for that and stuffing. Enjoy your feast.

    • Sandee says:

It’s pretty good. I don’t each much meat anymore, but a few bites with my mashed potatoes and gravy is pretty good. Wish we could have Thanksgiving together. 🙂

  3. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee… I’ve never tried ice cream with my pumpkin pie, but I think I would love it. For certain, I purrfer the idea of eating cow over fowl…. Hopefully, I never meet an actual cow so that idea doesn’t need to be reevaluated …. most chickens – at least the ones I’ve met are very nice and I don’t imagine turkeys are much different, except in size.

    • Sandee says:

It’s really good. I can do whipped cream, but ice cream is much better. I was raised on a farm so we raised our own meat. Just the way of life for farmers. 🙂

  4. 15andmeowing says:

That is a pretty kitty. Thanks for hosting Feline Friday and thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I wish we were having filet mignon instead of turkey. I do like the potatoes though 🙂 And I hope youget that pumpkin pie and ice cream. Have a nice weekend! XO

  5. Skunk says:

I can’t wait to sink my teeth into anything I don’t try to cook on Thanksgiving.

I will pass on anything my pet rocks try to cook on Thanksgiving.
I wish rhubarb pie was served at holiday gatherings.
I will always be thankful for the telephone to call for delivery.

    • Sandee says:

I hear you Mike. We don’t want to work hard during the holidays anymore. Easy for us and pizza would work for us. Just saying. 🙂

  6. Kathe W. says:

Right now not enough time for blogging- but I have at least enough time to comment! xoxo Happy days to you and Zane!
    1. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into a Turkey wing! on Thanksgiving.
    2. I will pass on jello salad on Thanksgiving.
    3. I wish a big green salad was served at holiday gatherings.
    4. I will always be thankful for friends and family .

  7. Lisa says:

Well, isn’t that a spunky little feline! Adorable. I like both filet mignon and turkey. Let’s have both!! Because you can’t make gravy very well with filet mignon drippings. 🙂

  8. The OP Pack says:

What a cute kitty strutting along there!!!

We are excited for TURKEY, and maybe a little dollop of mashed potatoes on the side – Mom says NO gravy for us:(

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    • Sandee says:

We don’t care much for turkey. Hubby loves ham, and me not so much. We decided that Filet Mignon would work. I only eat a few bites, but I can get into the veggies and the potatoes and gravy. Okay the garlic bread too. 🙂

  9. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

Lovely cat, and the sun on the autumn leaves make a beautiful background.I am with you on the turkey, Filet Mignon sounds much better.

  10. UP says:

a stray has adopted us. she comes UP and drinks the milk I put out for her and lets me rub her neck. she has to be someone’s pet, but we don’t know who! she’s a cutie.

  11. kittiesblue says:

Thank you for linking the boys up to the hop. They send you kitty kisses. I feel exactly as you do, very thankful for my husband, and I am excited for Pumpkin pie. Have a great weekend. Love and hugs, Janet

    • Sandee says:

It’s going to be a wonderful weekend. We’re home and it’s warm. We’re happy about that. Love and hugs. Scritches to the kitties. 🙂

  12. Jim says:

She is sooo cute!!! She reminds me of a Bible verse (Eph 5:15) “See then that ye walk circumspectly…”
    🙂
    this weeks questions:
    1. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into _Corn Bread Turkey Dressing__ on Thanksgiving.
    2. I will pass on Duck on Thanksgiving.
    3. I wish _Fried Catfish__ was served at holiday gatherings.
    4. I will always be thankful for _The Pilgrims coming to America___.
    🙂
You and your Hub have a Happy Thanksgiving. We may not turkey for Thanksgiving, Mrs. Jim and I plan to eat at our local La Madeleine restaurant.
    ..

    • Sandee says:

Fried catfish. Yummy. It’s been years since we’ve had fried catfish. I don’t care about having the traditional meal anymore. It’s whatever we want that’s the ticket. Thanks for playing along. 🙂

  13. sami veloso says:

Almost Thanksgiving there. We don’t celebrate that in Australia. Love the cute kitty and it reminds me of the one my daughter is babysitting for 2 weeks. While chatting to her online a couple of hours ago, she was setting up her Christmas tree and the kitten was just having a ball climbing the tree and jumping from it. I had a good laugh 🙂 🙂

  14. Michelle says:

I love the Autumn colors! I also love filet mignon 🙂 We will be having fried turkey on Thanksgiving Day.
Will you be watching the parades? I’m not sure. I know later on there will be football. 🏈🍂🍂🦃🤗 ((Hugs))

  15. Jan K says:

We actually have steak more often than turkey, so I really look forward to the turkey and stuffing. My hubby is a meat cutter, so that’s why we often get very nice steaks!
Oh, and I want that kitty. Tabbies have always been my favorite (I think you’d call that a tabby, though we used to call them “tiger cats”. We had three at one time.)

    • Sandee says:

We aren’t much for fowl at all. I don’t know what they do to them anymore, but they don’t taste the same. Happy weekend. 🙂

      • Jan K says:

Oh, I understand and don’t blame you one bit for that! I feel that way about chicken for sure,. We’ve discussed raising our own meat birds, but I know I wouldn’t have the heart to cook them for dinner! Plus I don’t like the way they’ve bred them; they have no quality of life. I haven’t given it up completely, but only because I worry about eating too much red meat. I’d buy from a local farm if we could afford it.

    • Sandee says:

I’m having a lot of potatoes and gravy next Thursday. I’ve not had potatoes and gravy in months and months. Happy day to you and Ms. Zoe. 🙂

  16. meowmeowmans says:

That little cat looks like it’s on a mission. And what a beautiful Fall photo! 🙂

I think mash potatoes and gravy, and pumkin pie and ice cream are my faves, too.

    Happy weekend, Sandee!

  17. Rosey Marie says:

    Hi Sandee! Happy Thanksgiving!

The perfect look for strutting his/her stuff on the fence. I own this land, lolol. Classic cat attitude. Adorable too.

I like your answer for pumpkin pie and ice cream. Yum. Here’s mine:
    1. I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the side dishes (my fave!) on Thanksgiving.
    2. I will pass on turkey on Thanksgiving (the only vegetarian in the family is me).
    3. I wish (n/a we have everything we need and more on that table, hurrah!) was served at holiday gatherings.
    4. I will always be thankful for my children and their children too.

  18. Cathy Kennedy says:

    Sandee,

I’m thankful as well for my wonderful husband. We are definitely blessed, aren’t we? You eat the beef, I’ll eat the turkey. 🙂 Not that I don’t like a good steak but I can’t pass on turkey for the holidays. 🙂

  19. L.M.G. Miller says:

What a beautiful kitty in such a beautiful setting! And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! Mmmm. Mashed potatoes are always a favorite around here, too. And I bet they’ll go deliciously with the filet mignon. Wishing you a blessed Thanksgiving!
