Friendly Fill-ins

Each Thursday Ellen of 15andmeowing and Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs, provide Friendly Fill-in questions.

Ellen came up with the first two questions and Lorianne came up with the last two questions.

If you need help, please let either Ellen or Lorianne know.

Here are this weeks questions:
1. I didn’t _______ until I _________.
2. I try to _________________________.
3. My fear of _______ keeps me from ______.
4. If I were a ghost, I would haunt ______.

Here are my answers:
1. I didn’t have a proper steak until I was grown. My mother cooked them to to death. Like extra, extra, extra well done.
2. I try to avoid driving on the freeway as much as I can. Too many cars anymore. Gridlock is almost a daily thing.
3. My fear of heights keeps me from doing anything related to heights.
4. If I were a ghost, I would haunt only evil people.

    What cute kittens.
Around here we don’t have more than 2 lane highways so when I go anywhere with lots of traffic and more lanes I hate driving.

    • Sandee says:

I don’t mind driving, but I hate the gridlock and the rude drivers. I’m not aggressive at all. Doesn’t pay to be like many of them. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I would love to haunt evil people. I know some and that’s where I would start. Have a great weekend, my friend. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I wish there were less cars. It used to be so easy to hop on the freeway to get where you needed to go. Not anymore. 🙂

  2. Jan says:

I’m looking for a sweet kitten that won’t grow up to be a mean cat.

I used to take a freeway to get across town, now they are all gridlock so much of the time.

  3. 15andmeowing says:

Very cute kittens. Thank you for hosting Feline Friday. And thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. I can’t imagine dealing with California traffic on a daily basis. Glad you finally had good steak. I like mine a little pink, but now overdone. I don’t know how some eat it when it is rare. Have a great weekend! XO

    • Sandee says:

Our traffic is pretty awful. Everyone is so angry and drive with such rage. We avoid it when we can. You have a great weekend too, Ellen and thanks for co-hosting the fill-ins. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Yes they are nuts and some are in such a hurry they put everyone else in danger. We just get in the slow lane and stay out of their way. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

I know we had some great cuts of meat because we raised our own, but it was so cooked that the taste wasn’t much. 🙂

  4. -Eugenia says:

Adorable kittens and I like your fill-ins. We very seldom drive on super highways; anything over 4 stories is too much for me, and good idea about being a ghost. I would be haunting a lot of people. 👻 Have a fantastic weekend.

  5. Invisibly Me says:

Those two are just so precious  ♥
My mother likes steak very well done, too. Actually, she likes a lot of foods well cooked or even burned! My father is the opposite. I fall mid-way for the best of both worlds!
Happy Friday lovely, I hope you & hubby have a relaxing weekend 😊
    Caz xx

    • Sandee says:

Yep, everyone seemed to cook everything well done in my youth. Oh well. We still ate very well. You have a relaxing weekend too, Caz. 🙂

  6. darlamsands says:

What adorable snuggles. Your memories of home cooked steak remind me of my mother, rest her soul. She cooked with garlic salt, never the fresh cloves, so I never redgistered a taste for the flavor before moving out. Heh… As for traffic here, it could be much worse, so I need to count my blessings on that even after having our car totaled early last year. Be well! Hope you’re having a lovely, safe day.

    • Sandee says:

Mom used egg and flower with salt and pepper. Then she cooked it to death. We ate it and we didn’t know what we were missing. 🙂

  7. Deziz World says:

Yummmmmmmmmy We luv steak. That’s like mommy’s favorite food. She doesn’t get ’em anymore, but she still ‘members what they taste like. MOL Next time ya’ have one, have a few bites fur us. MOL Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  8. Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

That is an adorable pair. 🙂

Thanks for swinging by today. Turns out my flu was pneumonia (never had it before) and my son has it too (I didn’t even know it was contagious). Guess that explains why it was taking so long to go away. -_-

Love your answers. I have always been a vegetarian at heart (my mom used to fight with me to get me to eat meat my whole childhood). I remember her steaks were cooked very well done. I don’t remember ever trying one, but I do remember that…
All of my kids (except the youngest, and I suspect he’ll join his siblings at some point) love steak. Not well done though. 😉

    Here are my answers:

    I didn’t drive until I was 18.
I try to not drive through mountains. I think it’s scary..
My fear of loss of security keeps me from trying to find a better job (I love my job, but teachers here really don’t get paid well).
If I were a ghost, I would haunt Olive Garden (after they closed) so I could help myself to that delicious salad and dressing they make (wait, can ghosts even eat??? Don’t tell me if they can’t).

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    • Sandee says:

Yikes, that even worse the the flu. I hope you get well soon. I didn’t know it was contagious either. Both of you get well. Love all your answers. There is a spot when driving through the mountains to get to Lake Tahoe that you’re right on the edge of the road and can look down to about a mile to the bottom. It’s scary too. You have a wonderful weekend too, my friend. 🙂

      • Rose A (@mail4rosey) says:

We eventually want to visit states on the west side of the country, but I’m thinking the drive to and from may not always be pleasant. That spot in Lake Tahoe would not delight me. It would probably thrill 3 of my 4 kids, but not me.

    • Sandee says:

I would love to eliminate evil. I’m so sick of all the evil being done. Have a great day and weekend, J. Big hug. 🙂

  9. kittiesblue says:

Driving in California is awful. I haven’t done it in a few years, but it is one of those things we don’t miss. Super cute kittens today. Thanks for linking us up. Cooper Murphy and Sawyer are sending you kitty kisses, Have a great weekend. Hugs, Janet

    • Sandee says:

No one would dare touch your nip, Erin. You’re a princess and everyone knows you don’t mess with a princesses things. Happy weekend. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Ours is so bad we go the back roads to stay off as much of the freeway as we can. Gridlock every single time. You have a great one too, Jen. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

If I could do #4 I’d be busy for years trying to get to all the evil people. You have a lovely weekend too, Sami. 🙂

  10. Jim says:

Beautiful kittens find, Sandee. The old motto, “two kittens in a basket are MORE than twice as cute as one.” 🙂
Thank you for the birthday wish. Every time I get one I feel better still. 🙂
I am that way about freeways too. Where we moved to now, from the North of Houston to the West, we have to use I-10 or a two-lane tollway to get into town or the Medical Center. On Sunday mornings that will take 20-30 minutes but week days they slow, sometimes are stop and go, takes an hour and a half. 🙂

    this weeks questions:
    1. I didn’t __date_____ until I ___after my first stint at college______.
    2. I try to _____go to church every Sunday_____.
    3. My fear of __girls taller than I am_____ keeps me from __riding in elevators with them____.
    4. If I were a ghost, I would haunt __every mean bully SOB in the world___. 🙂
    ..

    • Sandee says:

I’ll come and help you with #4. We both feel the same way. I hope you have a great birthday on Wednesday, Jim. I’ve enjoy being your blogging buddy all these years. Thanks for playing along. 🙂

  11. Jan K says:

Even in our relatively rural area, the highways are getting busier and busier all the time. I stick to the back roads whenever possible!
Those kittens are adorable, it’s been so long since we had a kitten! Luke would get just a bit too excited about one though I think! 🙂

  12. meowmeowmans says:

Those kittens are adorable! And we LOVED your answer to number 4. We would do the same thing, for sure! 😉

  13. MNL says:

They are cuties! Glad you had a proper steak. I don’t like steak either cooked until they are dry. For me, it was garlic, real butter and coffee from coffee beans that I first tried as an adult. My mom hated the smell of garlic so would have nothing to do with them and both my parents thought instant coffee and margarine was just as good. For me, I don’t really understand that. Just the aroma alone of butter or coffee made from beans makes the difference.
