It sounds like there are a lot of people at the yacht club that are making you unhappy. It is best to walk away from a situation like that, but I hope you can stay in contact with others who don’t have negative opinions about everything. As long as you and your husband have each other, that is the most important thing in life.
No, just two couples, but that’s enough. The rest are wonderful. Those two couples give me the creeps. Not anymore. We are done with them and will not put ourselves anywhere near them again. 🙂
The world would be such a better place if everyone would just mind their own business. I hope you find a way to avoid toxic people, they are so energy draining.

Same Here!!I can relate want to get away from toxic people.As a corrections officer I delt with toxic people a lot (ani I’ll talk about the inmates later) love the cat!
It just a couple of folks, but we can’t stand to be around them. It’s all good. We’re okay with stepping away. 🙂
Yes the older we get the less we can stand toxic people. We are happy with our decision. 🙂

I second the above! There are always positive ways to interact in other people’s lives. You and hubby will know what’s best for you and what to do! Should you break from the negativity at your yacht club, I’m sure there will be something more rewarding coming!
We figured that out, Linda and then we agreed that we would leave. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing we don’t have to deal with those folks anymore. 🙂

My mom always avoids negative people, she can’t deal with them. It would be sad to leave the yacht club. Couldn’t you stay and avoid those you don’t care to be around?
We won’t deal with them. When we see them or are around them, we’ll leave. Right then. No we are in to tight of quarters on a cruise to avoid them. It’s impossible. 🙂
Meowser Ms. Sandee that is a big change, but possibly a wonderful one, since toxic people are awful… and here I was imaging that your boat was a refuge, when apparently the place it is at is anything but. What a shame.

We won’t ever go back. We know that. The toxic one have already left once and they are back again. The other one can’t tell the truth and is very hateful. Miserable person. 🙂

If there are people there will be nonsense. Hubby and I just choose not to be part of any nonsense. We have many true friends in the club and we’ll see them. We just won’t be around the ones we don’t want to be around anymore. 🙂
Sounds like a perfect plan to me! Hubby and I feel the same. We have a zero tolerance policy for drama and unnecessary shenanigans that only wind up hurting people and causing strife. It’s simply not worth it! The saying that goes something like, “I’d rather be healthy alone than sick with someone else” has a lot of validity to it!

Oh no, but you love the yacht club. I didn’t realise the people there were so toxic. It can be hard to walk away from people but when they become a source of negativity in your life, it can be the best thing you can do for yourself. It would just be such a shame to leave the club. Totally agree with no.3 and 4. I think some people have nothing better to do than nosing into others lives or being judgemental to make them feel better about themselves, which is really very sad. I do hope you can both have a good weekend, and that you come to some kind of decision on the people de-cluttering ♥

It’s not hard to walk away. We would rather do that than be around these two couples. We are not having any issue with leaving. We could feel it coming and the best thing is we both feel the same. 🙂
What a beautiful cat! One of the many good things about owning a boat, it goes where you want it to go. Sorry to hear about the yacht club and like a lot of things in life, it’s only a few that ruins it for the rest. We frequent a sports bar and a couple of people always complain and boo-hoo about how unfairly life treats them. So we moved to the other side of the bar – voila! I don’t have time for those that will not help themselves. Nuff said!
Yes it does and we know how to back that baby out and go places. We don’t need a yacht club to do that. There are people that are so miserable that they want to take you down with them. 🙂

There will always be some not so nice people around and we can only choose to be in the company of nicer ones. We can only be nice, smile and greet them before we move on so as not to stick with these creepy people.
