Express Lane

ExpressI was in the six item express lane at the store quietly fuming. Completely ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing a cart piled high with groceries.

Imagine my delight when the cashier beckoned the woman to come forward looked into the cart and asked sweetly, ‘So which six items would you like to buy?’

Wouldn’t it be great if that happened more often?

Oh, I love that! I get annoyed when I see someone getting 8 items.

In this case if the cashier said nothing I think I would, "Excuse me, is this the 150 item or less line?"

Or you can shop at Publix where there is never a line because they always have every lane open. And shipping truly IS a pleasure. That's what I do. 😛

Have a splendiferous day! big hugs xoxo

I would love to see that too. I would love to see a six item checkout lane. Here, most are 20.

Have you ever had your basket piled high, waiting in the regular lane when a cashier from the express lane waves you over? I have, and it never fails that half-way through, someone comes up behind me with a handful of items and glares at me.
