I was in the six item express lane at the store quietly fuming. Completely ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing a cart piled high with groceries.
Imagine my delight when the cashier beckoned the woman to come forward looked into the cart and asked sweetly, ‘So which six items would you like to buy?’
Wouldn’t it be great if that happened more often?

oh that would be great. With my luck the lady would have said they were all separate orders and paid for her stuff 6 items at a time
I've done that one too. Bless their hearts. 🙂
If the consumer is undisciplined, this is what happens. I would like many more such cashiers.
Have a great day!
Some people only think of themselves. They are most rude when they do this, but their time is way more important than ours. 🙂
That would be hilarious to witness 😉
It would be. I've not had the pleasure yet, but one never knows. 🙂
I'd be worried if she had a gun the way that people are today.
Have a fantastic Tuesday Sandee & Zane. See ya my friends.
Cruisin Paul
I agree with You Paul. You've got to be very careful anymore. 🙂
LOL love that cashier and hate queue jumpers and these instances always nice to see a comeuppance
Have a queuetastic day :-h
I call it Karma, but comeuppance works too. 🙂
too funny!!!!!!!!! I hope they do that! xoxoxo catchatwithcarenandcody
I'd love to see it indeed. 🙂
Oh, I love that! I get annoyed when I see someone getting 8 items.
In this case if the cashier said nothing I think I would, "Excuse me, is this the 150 item or less line?"
You and I think so much alike Joe. 🙂
Or you can shop at Publix where there is never a line because they always have every lane open. And shipping truly IS a pleasure. That's what I do. 😛
Have a splendiferous day! big hugs xoxo
They don't have Publix here. You go to Costco and Walmart you wait a week to get checked out. 🙂
That is a great check out lady. Glad she did that. Some stores do need to have more lanes open. Sandee, you and Zane have a fantastic day.
We have a lot of stores here that need more lanes open. It's the waiting game at some stores. 🙂
Heeheehee! If only it could happen!
I would be clapping at loud as possible. 🙂
now this would be great to watch! Happy shopping!!
Yes it would Kathe. I've not seen this happen, but it would be so very nice to see. 🙂
That's funny but sadly a cashier would probably get fired for saying it. But we fellow shoppers could say it if we have the guts. LOL
We could and some have. Not that it does us any good. 🙂
Haha! Yes! I wish that really happened every once in a while.
I'd settle for just once Jen. 🙂
C'mon-is that any way to treat an accountant?
No, but it would be refreshing to see. 🙂
I would love to see that. Some people think the rules don't apply to them.
A lot of people don't think the rules apply to them. Look at our corrupt government. 🙂
Oh absolutely! That would be hilarious if it happened in real life!
I would love to see this happen just once. Please. 🙂
Oh how I wish every cashier would do that! I abide by the rules and expect others to do the same. Period.
Big hugs, honey…
It's a thing of the past isn't it. The abiding by the rules thing. 🙂
BBBBBB-busted! Great response.
If only. 🙂
Ha ha ha YES YES YES!!!!! I am always so paranoid that if I have 13 items I don't go in that line. Fair is fair!!! Woo hoo!
Fair is fair. 🙂
I would love to see that too. I would love to see a six item checkout lane. Here, most are 20.
Have you ever had your basket piled high, waiting in the regular lane when a cashier from the express lane waves you over? I have, and it never fails that half-way through, someone comes up behind me with a handful of items and glares at me.
No, they don't do that here. I would hate that. What a terrible position to be put in. 🙂
Yes, that would be nice!
I would be more than nice Binky. 🙂
LOL – that would happen here all the time.
