Six year old Annie returns home from school and says that today she had her first family planning lesson at school.
Her mother, very interested, asks: “Oh. How did it go?”
“I nearly died of shame!” she answers. “Sam from down the street says the stork brings babies. Sally next door said you can buy babies at the orphanage. Pete in my class says you can buy babies at the hospital.”
Her mother answers laughingly, “But that’s no reason to be ashamed.”
“No, but I can’t tell them that we were so poor that you and daddy had to make me yourselves!

That is just too cute. Amazing what kids will come up with. Sandee, you and Zane and Little Bit all have a grand day.
Kids do come up with the funnest things at times. 🙂
But I bet they had a great time doing it, and it didn't cost them a dime. Ha,ha,ha. I loved it Have a wonderful Thursday Sandee. See ya.
Cruisin Paul

You have to protect the family's reputation.
Yes you do. 🙂
Love it, being poor does have some advantages LOL
Yes it does Louise. 🙂
Very cute. I didn't see that one coming.
Yes, kids come up with the cutest ideas. Bless their hearts. 🙂
Nothing wrong with homemade 🙂 Touchy subject at our house. When our daughters got older and started dating they wanted more details about how I met their dad. They must've talked about it with with their friends and both came back to me and complained that our story had ruined dating for them because they'll never be able to top it. I told them that if we hadn't met, they wouldn't have been born and that if I were them, I'd count my blessings while I was ahead.
When they meet the right someone they can top most anything. The key is finding the right someone. I know and so do you. I do agree with your last sentence. It's spot on. 🙂
I am guessing that story is mostly real.
Yep, I'm sure it is Joe. 🙂
that gets an awwwwwwwww! lol hugz!!!:)
Kids are precious aren't they. Big hugz back. 🙂
I may be different, but "homemade" is my favorite!
I have been enjoying sunshine out my window, and starting to feel alive again!

Heeheehee! Reminds me of the Calvin and Hobbes where his father told him most people bought the kit at Sears, but that he was a K-Mart blue light special!

Poor Annie—-sometime the truth is painful!!
When you're little it's even worse. 🙂
Homemade is always best! Good one.

Ha!!! Kids say the darndest things. I remember finding out about sex & how that made babies from another kid in grade 5 & I was shocked to think that my parents would do such a thing. TWICE!!!
Bwahahahahaha. You crack me up Tony. We all thought the same thing about our parents. 🙂
Laughing! her mom is probably thanking her lucky stars that she was too embarassed to say her parents made her. I can just imagine the phone calls from the other parents.
