    Sweet little baby.
We used to get them in our bottom field but I haven’t seen any lately. We still see hoof marks though so know they are around.

  2. Eastside Cats Blog says:

My sister found a fawn under her paw paw tree earlier this year; she was astounded to have walked right up to it, as it was camouflaged so very well!
Calmly retreating into the house, she kept a vigil at the window, waiting for mama deer to return.
She did, and all was well.

What a lovely comment. I’m guessing mom told the fawn to stay right there and not move. It listened to mom. I’m glad mom returned and all was well. 🙂

Oh sweet dear Deer Bambi…you look very cuddly and warm. I had to leave my comment here on reply.
There was no way to comment just as me. Those crazy Elves on the shelf have been up to mischief.
Ok now I have a comment box
    Hugs to all

These little ones have no odor or scent. If they remain still, it is very hard for predators to find them. Mom will often create a distraction to lead danger away from the fawns. They are very vulnerable little creatures. Lovely image of one of God’s precious creations.

Gosh! Looking at the tummies of some of the does around here we will be seeing lots of these guys in the spring! They are so cute when they are little. Thanks for stopping by! We live you to bits! Purrs Marv

  6. Curious as a Cathy says:

What dear sweet deer! This little one reminds us that spring will be here before we know and I for one am happy about that! It was so cold over the weekend. We’re slowly coming out of the deep freeze. Things should feel pretty good later in the week. 👏 Have an awwwesome week, my friend!
