    Sandee,

Every time I see ducklings, I think of the children’s book, “Make Way for Ducklings” by Robert McCloskey. I love his beautifully illustrations and his stories are simply charming! Thanks for hosting the Monday fun, my dear. The rest of the week I won’t be so quick to join the linky parties as I’m trying to get things done for our upcoming staycation. Whoo-Hoo! Have an awwwesome week!

That reminds me of when stores used to have baby ducklings and chicks to sale before Easter. I had a duck named Mickey, who had a good life -turned out to be a girl. She started laying when our mailman took her out to his farm with a duck pond, where she lived the rest of her life. I do understand that wasn’t usually the outcome for most of those dear babies, so am glad that practice has been stopped. Thanks for starting my week with happy memories of my Mickey.

Naww what sweet balls of fur! I used to love seeing the duckies when I was little. I’d love to find somewhere with ducks to visit them now that I’m not so little, I get the feeling I’d enjoy it even more. The little river nearby-ish, about a 15 minute walk, has grown up ducks only, I’ve never seen a single fluffy baby. I think I’ll have to put a complaint in 😉

Have a wonderful week ahead, Sandee! xxxx

The little ducklings are so cute, soft and fluffy. My mom had a little farm at the back of our house. There were pigs, chickens and ducks. I used to hold the little ducklings in my hands and played with them. Thanks for the sweet memories.
