What a beauty. I volunteered at a conservacy years and years ago and helped take care of an owl. The first time it opened its wings while on my arm was super startling. I had NO idea their wing span was so huge!!! They’re a little intimidating, but beautiful just the same.

Yes owls are very intense and beautiful. We can hear them after sundown at our marina. You and Mr. Sweetie have a blessed and beautiful Monday too. 🙂

I adore owls! Sure, they are predators, but so are our kitties!
I long to catch sight of an owl in a tree; it’s only happened a few times, other than owl exhibits, of course.

What a handsome Hoot Hooot! Mom and dad spent 4 weeks trying to figure out what kind was living in our tree by their bedroom window!! It’s was a long eared owl! He’s very very loud!

  5. UP says:

We have an owl in our woods. Many Native American tribes view them as a sign of coming death. I have never been a fan, but he does keep some of the critters at bay.

  6. Anne Marie Robinson says:

Oh that is a huge owl! We never realize their size and strength until we see them close up. We had one in the trees near our home and we had to be extra vigilante with the pups. They are sure magnificent creatures and I bet they never have neck issues! Good to be here. LOve to you and HUGS across the miles. XO XO
