It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.
Make sure you link up to the Blog Hop at Brian’s Home and get the code to put on your blog. Then visit all the participants.
On July 14th, hubby and I left Rio Vista heading to Pittsburg Marina. It takes about 1 hour an 45 minutes. Some days it’s calm and some days not so much. This was a bumpy ride, but we’ve traveled in worse conditions.
Sorry for the beeping CO monitor, but we were closed up so we wouldn’t get wet. Our boat is sound and we were sitting together on the helm seat enjoying the ride.
For my buddy Cathy Kennedy author of Curious as a Cathy…this is what boating is like sometimes. We love every minute and are thankful we’re able to enjoy what we love.
This short video is our trip from Pittsburg Marina to Willow Berm Marina on Friday morning. What a difference a day makes.

Thanks for taking us with you. I actually prefer choppy water, you know you are at sea!
We like it smooth, but we can do both and do often. 🙂
Wow, what a difference between the two videos. I think a ride like that first one would take some getting used to 🙂
It’s the way of boating. One day it’s awful out there and the next it’s perfect. 🙂
These videos are great, Sande! It’s so refreshing just to watch without having been there, and I love how pure the water looks and how it glistens. I’m glad you get to do this in person 🌻 So it’s an hour and 45 minutes to get there one way, then you do a return trip? It really does look gorgeous there. xx
We love boating so much. We can slip sail or get out and about. It’s a wonderful hobby for us. 🙂
That truly looks like fun and what a pretty adventure!
It is most fun for us, but there are many that don’t care for boating at all. 🙂
Mom loves a rough ride. When she flies, a lot of turbulence is her thing and it actually puts her to sleep. I think we would prefer a smooth ride. Enjoy your boating.
The first cruise wasn’t all that bad. Choppy, but manageable. 🙂
looks lke a fun time.
We had a great three nights out. 🙂
So much to be thankful for. Thank you for taking us with you.

You’re most welcome, Regine. 🙂
I think I would be seasick if it was that choppy. I would enjoy a calm day though. Thanks for sharing. XO
Some folks get seasick. We’re lucky we don’t. We come home and for a bit we still feel like we’re on our boat. 🙂
Great boat rides, but I would prefer the smoother one 🙂 Enjoy your trips Sandee
I like the smoother one too. We love our boat. 🙂
Both trips look like fun to us but the calm is better! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
Calm is indeed better. Thank you for hosting the fun. 🙂
It was a wonderful week trip. The best part was being with you.
I love you!
Your loving husband.
zane
I agree my husband. The best part was being with you. Love you. 🙂
At least your CO detector is working…LOL
The second video is like sailing on glass
Hugs cecilia
It was and you can’t disconnect it like you could the old ones. It can get on your nerves. Hugs. 🙂
Did everyone keep their lunch down?
Yes they did. In fact we’d only had coffee that morning. We didn’t eat until we got to Pittsburg. 🙂
Thank you for taking us with you on your ride! I’ve been in some rough seas while on an Alaskan cruise and in smaller boats and prefer a calm smooth ride. Luckily, I’ve never gotten seasick! Happy Thursday!
You’re most welcome. We cruised from San Diego to the Hawaiian islands. Ships rocks the entire time. 🙂
so glad to see you are able to get out and do what you love so much… Happy and Save sailing, make that mortoring…
We are too and as we get older it will become more difficult. We’ll enjoy it as long as we can. 🙂
What a gorgeous day to be out on the water. I can see why you love it so much!
It’s just the best thing for us to do. We love boating. 🙂
Definitely a big difference but fun and beautiful either way!
Yes it is. A fun week for us. 🙂
What a ride! Thanks for the fun! Splish splash!
You’re most welcome. We love our boat. 🙂
I bet you do! So much freedom on the water!
Interesting to watch the two videos and how different the ride was.
Hope your day is going good so far today! <3
That’s the way it is with boating. Some days are calm and other day it’s not. 🙂
What a wonderful view. There is nothing as relaxing and fun as boating
I agree. We love it so very much. 🙂
What a beautiful day to be out on the boat…even if things did get a bit bumpy!
It was a fun trip indeed. We love it so. 🙂
Sandee,
It’s good to have a pastime you and hubby enjoy. I assume your boat has sleeping quarters, is that right? I can see the appeal of being out on the water but I’m not sure how well I’d do with a bumpy ride. 🙂 It looks like y’all had some nice weather for your trip. Thanks for the mention. Have a wonderful day, my dear!
We have a very comfy bed, a galley and a head with a shower. We have everything we need to live on the boat for as long as we want. 🙂
Even the bumpy ride looks fun, but I still think I’d prefer the smooth sailing! 🙂
The smooth sailing is better, but you don’t always get the smooth sailing. Smooches to Luke. 🙂
Thank you for sharing your videos, it looks like so much fun. Hugs!
It’s a lot of fun for us. We love our boat. 🙂
Great videos. Thanks for sharing them with us.
You’re most welcome, Yvonne. 🙂
The noise sounded the same on the second day, but it was, as they say, smooth sailing. I am thankful I had the experience of my little pontoon for many years.
That’s those two big engine purring. Burning though that gas. 🙂
Wow!! Thanks for sharing.🤗.💕
You’re most welcome, Michelle. 🙂
this looks sooooooo relaxing!!!! If I ever get out that way, please take me on your boat!!
We’d be happy to take you on a cruise. 🙂
