It’s Thankful Thursday hosted by Brian of Brian’s Home. He wants us to post what we’re thankful for.
I think it’s a good thing to do each week. Focus on the positive things in our lives.

I’m thankful that I was the only child that wanted to learn how to make my mothers Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She was ever so patient and taught me how to make each dish. I didn’t realize how doing this would mean so much later in my life.
When I was forty my mother went to heaven after battling ALS for almost five years. She was a young 60 years old. My entire family depended on me to make Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners soon after she got sick. I remember the last year she fixed Thanksgiving and Christmas. We all helped her, but let her do her famous and delicious dinner. She knew it was her last year and so did we.
Hubby and I did this for many years. I’m thankful that even though I was so young I wanted to know how to make my mothers wonderful dinner. My family often said they couldn’t tell the difference between moms dinner and mine. Always made me smile.
What are you thankful for today?
