  1. Memories of Eric and Flynn says:

What a beautiful face and deep ginger colouring. Of course I am biased though!
It sounds like there are a lot of people at the yacht club that are making you unhappy. It is best to walk away from a situation like that, but I hope you can stay in contact with others who don’t have negative opinions about everything. As long as you and your husband have each other, that is the most important thing in life.

    • Sandee says:

No, just two couples, but that’s enough. The rest are wonderful. Those two couples give me the creeps. Not anymore. We are done with them and will not put ourselves anywhere near them again. 🙂

  2. Ann Thompson says:

What an amazing picture. Love the eyes.
That would be a shame if you had to walk away from the yacht club but I understand the need to get away from toxic people. The older I get the more I crave simplicity and drama free living

  3. Linda Arthur Tejera says:

I second the above! There are always positive ways to interact in other people’s lives. You and hubby will know what’s best for you and what to do! Should you break from the negativity at your yacht club, I’m sure there will be something more rewarding coming!

    • Sandee says:

We figured that out, Linda and then we agreed that we would leave. It’s a wonderful feeling knowing we don’t have to deal with those folks anymore. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

Yes it can and all the negative people I’ve unfriended. I just want to have fun and stay in touch with friends that are here and there. 🙂

    • Sandee says:

We won’t deal with them. When we see them or are around them, we’ll leave. Right then. No we are in to tight of quarters on a cruise to avoid them. It’s impossible. 🙂

  4. foguth says:

Meowser Ms. Sandee that is a big change, but possibly a wonderful one, since toxic people are awful… and here I was imaging that your boat was a refuge, when apparently the place it is at is anything but. What a shame.
BTW, that kitty looks a lot like Puss in Boots, who I adore.
    Puurseidon

  5. 15andmeowing says:

Thank you for participating in the fill-ins. I always enjoy your answers. I am sorry about the negative people at the yacht club. I know how much you enjoy the club so it would be a shame to leave- is there a way to ignore the negative people? Or is there another club in the area? Very cute cat. Have a nice weekend! XO

    • Sandee says:

We’ve not really enjoyed the club since the last bay cruise and it’s just gotten worse. It’s all good. Thank you for co-hosting the friendly fill-in fun. 🙂

  6. Jen says:

Have you seen the new Cats trailer? It looks like it is going to be amazing! A lot of stars are in it.

Bummer on number 1. How can you be boating and not be happy? Crazy and sad for people like that.

    • Sandee says:

No I haven’t. I’ll have to check it out. We can go boating and be happy, we just aren’t going with the yacht club anymore. 🙂

  7. catscue says:

What a beautiful ginger! I love your fill-ins. You and hubby can still enjoy boating without the club, maybe if enough folks leave for the reasons you do, they’ll kick out the toxics and invite everyone back in, you never know, you could be the trend-setters!

    • Sandee says:

We won’t ever go back. We know that. The toxic one have already left once and they are back again. The other one can’t tell the truth and is very hateful. Miserable person. 🙂

  8. Holly G. says:

Such a beautiful face! Looking at the details of their eyes, whiskers etc shows how truly incredible they are.

I enjoyed your answers to the fill ins as well. Sorry to hear such nonsense has been going on. A whole lot of people enjoy bringing other people down, gossiping and carrying on. It’s a shame. I hope you will find true friends that don’t engage in this kind of activity. Being a genuine, caring and warm hearted person is the very best quality anyone could ask for. Wishing you all the very best Sandee. ♥

    • Sandee says:

If there are people there will be nonsense. Hubby and I just choose not to be part of any nonsense. We have many true friends in the club and we’ll see them. We just won’t be around the ones we don’t want to be around anymore. 🙂

      • Holly G. says:

Sounds like a perfect plan to me! Hubby and I feel the same. We have a zero tolerance policy for drama and unnecessary shenanigans that only wind up hurting people and causing strife. It’s simply not worth it! The saying that goes something like, “I’d rather be healthy alone than sick with someone else” has a lot of validity to it!

Glad to hear you both are pulling away from toxicity.

  9. Invisibly Me says:

Oh no, but you love the yacht club. I didn’t realise the people there were so toxic. It can be hard to walk away from people but when they become a source of negativity in your life, it can be the best thing you can do for yourself. It would just be such a shame to leave the club. Totally agree with no.3 and 4. I think some people have nothing better to do than nosing into others lives or being judgemental to make them feel better about themselves, which is really very sad. I do hope you can both have a good weekend, and that you come to some kind of decision on the people de-cluttering  ♥
    Caz xx

    • Sandee says:

It’s not hard to walk away. We would rather do that than be around these two couples. We are not having any issue with leaving. We could feel it coming and the best thing is we both feel the same. 🙂

  10. -Eugenia says:

What a beautiful cat! One of the many good things about owning a boat, it goes where you want it to go. Sorry to hear about the yacht club and like a lot of things in life, it’s only a few that ruins it for the rest. We frequent a sports bar and a couple of people always complain and boo-hoo about how unfairly life treats them. So we moved to the other side of the bar – voila! I don’t have time for those that will not help themselves. Nuff said!

  11. Deziz World says:

Those are some great answers awnty Sandee. But, sometimes, it’s good to stick your nose in others business. Not always, but sometimes. MOL Hope things get better without the toxic peeps. Big hugs

    Luv ya’

    Dezi and Raena

  12. The OP Pack says:

It sounds like it might be time to find another yacht club. We know how much you enjoy sailing, so we hope you can find some happy people. There seems to be way too much toxicity in today’s world.

    Happy weekend.

Woos – Lightning, Misty, and Timber

    • Sandee says:

No, we don’t want to join another club. They will have their own toxic folks. We’ve been in yacht clubs for years. We don’t need a yacht club. 🙂

  13. Kathe W. says:

Here are my answers to this weeks questions:
    1. I have been contemplating trying to simplify my life…and focus more on just my good friends and my sweet family.
    2. I want to figure out a way of not spending a lot of time worrying about things I cannot solve.
    3. People should worry less about trivia and more about real issues.
    4. I want to make the world a better place by being kinder and smiling at strangers.

  14. Nancy Chan says:

There will always be some not so nice people around and we can only choose to be in the company of nicer ones. We can only be nice, smile and greet them before we move on so as not to stick with these creepy people.

    • Sandee says:

Yes and we get rid of them pretty quickly anymore. Hubby and I always say it’s just the two of us. No one else is put first. 🙂

  15. Pamela Jackson says:

Wow…sorry that doing away with TOXIC folks means the club. My outlet to moving away from that was to retire when I did.
    Here are this weeks questions:
    1. I have been contemplating _cleaning my house really well._________.
    2. I want to _leave
a __good lasting impression __ about __myself when I leave this world________.
    3. People should worry less about ___ others and more about __cleaning up their lives_.
    4. I want to make the world a better place by _being as kind as I can.

  16. A ShutterBug Explores says:

  17. caren gittleman says:

Boy oh boy are your answers ever amazing. I am praying that you don’t have to walk away from your Yacht Club, but if the environment is toxic then YES, it’s all for the better!! Don’t you just love when people think they know everything and have to figure out what everyone is doing? It’s ridiculous. I removed myself from some online situations that were like that. I have no room in my life for that pettiness. You go girl!! Thank you for linking us and hoping you are having a most pawesome weekend!! xoxoxo

    • Sandee says:

We already have walked away, Caren. It’s a good thing. The weight has been lifted off our shoulders and it feels so good. We don’t want drama or hateful people. You have a pawesome weekend too. 🙂

  18. Paul Pietrangelo says:

Good saturday afternoon Sandee. I’ve been watching the The Open all day and now I’m on my computer.

I have been contemplating _to rest a little. I’ve been so tired lately.
    I want to ___ a ____ about __________. ) I’m not sure what to do on this one )
People should worry less about politics and more about caring about other people.
I want to make the world a better place by having the politicians realize how important every person in our world are important.

Have a great weekend my friend. See ya.

    Cruisin Paul

    • Sandee says:

Good fill-ins, Paul. I had problems with the second one too. Thanks for playing along and get some rest. Sometimes a nap is in order. 🙂

  19. meowmeowmans says:

We agree about walking away from toxic people. Sorry that means giving up on the yacht club, though, Sandee. You will have greater peace, right?

  20. L.M.G. Miller says:

What a stunning kitty! I am so fond of orange tabbies. And thank you for joining in on the Friendly Fill-Ins! I really appreciate that your answers are all about surrounding yourself with positivity. The world certainly needs more of that. Have a beautiful day!
