That stuff looks raw! If so, I'll pass or I should say, pass it over a flame until it's hot….very hot please! Did you hear about that woman dying a day or two ago after eating raw oysters? She contracted a dangerous type of Salmonella that's notoriously found in raw shell fish. I want my dinner cooked, thank you! Have a good day and thanks for hosting the mid-week WW fun, my friend! πŸ˜‰

Hubby would eat every bite of this. Has to have the wasabi though. I'll have some. πŸ™‚

    • January 11, 2018 8:15 am at 8:15 am

In my opinion, eating raw food is an accident waiting to happen. Tell hubby to make sure his life insurance is paid up. πŸ˜€

    • January 11, 2018 8:23 am at 8:23 am

I'm not into it either, but hubby has been doing it for years. I guess you have to make sure it's fresh. I'll pass too. πŸ™‚

      It's not for everyone. πŸ™‚

    That's my kind of lunch.

    • January 10, 2018 11:18 am at 11:18 am

Hubby and I love all things Japanese. πŸ™‚

  4. January 10, 2018 3:57 am at 3:57 am

That is not my cup of tea, but looks great for someone that likes that kind of thing. Sandee, you and Zane have a wonderful Wednesday.

    • January 10, 2018 11:19 am at 11:19 am

No it's not for everyone. You have a wonderful Wednesday too, Marg. πŸ™‚

It's a great thing to have. Give it a go. πŸ™‚

  7. January 10, 2018 6:52 am at 6:52 am

I'm not the world's biggest fan of sushi. Some of it's okay, but I don't go out of my way to eat it. It does look pretty though.

    • January 10, 2018 11:22 am at 11:22 am

I'm with you. Some is okay, and hubby eats what I don't care for. He loves, loves, loves this. πŸ™‚

  8. January 10, 2018 7:06 am at 7:06 am

I haven't had sushi before which concludes that I'm sushiless

It all looks very pretty I must say

Happy New Year Sandee :-f Sorry it's late

    • January 10, 2018 11:23 am at 11:23 am

Well that's okay. It's not for everyone. I'm hungry for Japanese food. πŸ™‚

  9. January 10, 2018 7:23 am at 7:23 am

OH, YUM! I love sushi and sashimi! I could eat that every day. It is funny how so many who never had it are so against it. It is very good for you, too. Thanks for this. Hugs, my friend.

    • January 10, 2018 11:24 am at 11:24 am

You're most welcome, Annie. Sometimes I get stuck on food and today was the day. πŸ™‚

  10. January 10, 2018 7:36 am at 7:36 am

    No thanks.

    • January 10, 2018 11:24 am at 11:24 am

      Not a problem, Regine. πŸ™‚

    January 10, 2018 7:45 am at 7:45 am

I have tried it with an open mind and I still want to cook it.

    • January 10, 2018 11:25 am at 11:25 am

Well, some can't get past the fact that it's raw. I get that. πŸ™‚

  13. January 10, 2018 8:43 am at 8:43 am

I have never eaten sushi but some looks good.
    Thanks for hosting!!

    • January 10, 2018 11:27 am at 11:27 am

If you get the chance to try it then do. You might like it. πŸ™‚

  14. January 10, 2018 10:13 am at 10:13 am

  15. January 10, 2018 11:58 am at 11:58 am

Stick that on a hibachi and I'm there! lol I'm not quite wordless this week but not as wordy as my usual posts. It's after noon Wednesday so the work week is officially down hill from here. Enjoy your day.

    • January 10, 2018 12:10 pm at 12:10 pm

Won't taste the same, but I don't like raw fish much either. I pretty much did this post for hubby. πŸ™‚

  16. January 10, 2018 3:02 pm at 3:02 pm

My children would go nuts over that. Me, not so much.

    • January 10, 2018 3:26 pm at 3:26 pm

Well, you don't eat fish or meat so I get it. It's really good according to my husband. I pick and chose what I would eat of this plate. Hubby would eat it all. πŸ™‚

  17. January 10, 2018 3:37 pm at 3:37 pm

It looks yummy to me and I like to have some wasabi and soy sauce on the side as well.

    • January 10, 2018 3:49 pm at 3:49 pm

Yep, that will cook the fish for those that don't like it raw. πŸ™‚

  18. January 10, 2018 5:17 pm at 5:17 pm

Not a plate for me but the colors are really vivid.

    • January 11, 2018 8:06 am at 8:06 am

You have to like this kind of stuff. I can eat some, but not all. Hubby can clean this whole plate. πŸ™‚

  19. January 10, 2018 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm

I don't really like raw food. Well, maybe raw chocolate.

    • January 11, 2018 8:06 am at 8:06 am

I hear you. I'll take the chocolate too. πŸ™‚

  20. January 10, 2018 8:29 pm at 8:29 pm

Here in Arkansas we have a name or raw fish…it's called bait. Just sayin'.

    • January 11, 2018 8:07 am at 8:07 am

I kind of knew you'd say this about this dish. There are a lot that feel the same way. πŸ™‚

  21. January 10, 2018 9:07 pm at 9:07 pm

Looks beautiful but I prefer the cooked ones.

    • January 11, 2018 8:08 am at 8:08 am

Me too, Nancy. It's a very colorful dish though. πŸ™‚

  22. January 11, 2018 5:58 am at 5:58 am

It looks very tasty Sandee. When I receive these tasty treats?

Have a wonderful day my friend. Sorry I'm a day late. As my daughter would say, Dad, you are a man, live with it. Ha,ha,ha.
    See ya.

Go to your nearest Japanese restaurant and order it. I don't think I could send this to you very well. πŸ™‚

  23. January 11, 2018 11:32 am at 11:32 am

Pretty, but definitely not something that makes me hungry. We've tried and tried. I think I grew up too far inland to appreciate sea cuisine.

    • January 11, 2018 11:40 am at 11:40 am

I love seafood, but I like mine cooked. Hubby likes his raw. Good to see you again. πŸ™‚

  24. January 11, 2018 12:06 pm at 12:06 pm

I'm afraid I'm not a fan of sushi but some love it. Nice picture anyway!

    • January 11, 2018 12:10 pm at 12:10 pm

I'm not a fan either, but I love most Japanese food. As long as it's cooked. πŸ™‚

  25. January 11, 2018 3:19 pm at 3:19 pm

I can't do sushi, but this would be Jen's Guy's dream!

    • January 11, 2018 3:40 pm at 3:40 pm

Well your hubby and my hubby can go at it. We'll have something else. πŸ™‚

  26. January 11, 2018 11:24 pm at 11:24 pm

That's the kind of picture that evokes a strong reaction. People either love it or hate it! πŸ™‚

    • January 12, 2018 6:12 am at 6:12 am

Yep, and most of my folks aren't that fond of this kind of food. I get that. πŸ™‚

  27. January 17, 2018 8:32 am at 8:32 am

Hi Sandee, I would love to try proper sushi, but have never had the chance. There is nothing in that photo that doesn't look good.

    • January 17, 2018 8:53 am at 8:53 am

Some of this I would try too. Others, no. It's is very colorful and I've seen these dishes for real. Hubby would be all over this. πŸ™‚
