Silly Sunday

Silly Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

Office Irony:

I supervised an employee who had a negative view of everything
I did. If I took a vacation day, I was “never there.” If I praised someone’s work, it was “too little, too late.”

He eventually took another job
but was fired six months later. Shortly thereafter, he contacted
me, hoping to return to his old job.

“Have you learned anything from this experience?” I asked.

“Yes, I should have stayed here,”
he admitted. “You’re too indecisive to have ever fired me.”

I hope that guy is never given another job in his life. He's too indecisive.

      They do get around…and around…and around. 🙂

    • October 22, 2017 8:46 am at 8:46 am

      Unique, but not pleasant. 🙂

  12. October 22, 2017 7:13 am at 7:13 am

I'm still wondering why he got fired.

    • October 22, 2017 8:46 am at 8:46 am

Attitude I'm guessing. Hostile workplace. He's that guy. 🙂

  13. October 22, 2017 7:57 am at 7:57 am

omg…..been there and heard it! Have a super duper day toots! Bigger hugs to you and Zane!

    • October 22, 2017 8:47 am at 8:47 am

Yep, we've all had to tolerate this disruptive person. 🙂

  14. October 22, 2017 8:56 am at 8:56 am

I wouldn't have hired him back 🙂 Have a great day!

    • October 22, 2017 1:23 pm at 1:23 pm

They didn't hire him back. 🙂

  15. October 22, 2017 12:36 pm at 12:36 pm

Yeeeeeeeeeeeea. You can stay comfortably where you are: away.

    • October 22, 2017 1:24 pm at 1:24 pm

Yes indeed. These people are ever so difficult. 🙂

  16. October 22, 2017 2:13 pm at 2:13 pm

How funny is this? Negativity can be really annoying. In this case, I laughed. I hope you had a great weekend, Sandee. Warm hugs. 🙂

    • October 22, 2017 2:50 pm at 2:50 pm

Working with these kinds of people is tiring. 🙂

  17. October 22, 2017 2:28 pm at 2:28 pm

Good riddance to him. Negativity as a way of life gets old fast and has a way of bringing down the rest of the group.

    • October 22, 2017 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm

      I think that's the plan. 🙂

  18. October 22, 2017 8:03 pm at 8:03 pm

My appoligies for not playing along today.

    • October 23, 2017 7:00 am at 7:00 am

It's just fine, Mike. Sometimes you just don't feel like playing along. 🙂

  19. October 23, 2017 12:10 pm at 12:10 pm

I guess he needs to get a job elsewhere.

    • October 23, 2017 1:05 pm at 1:05 pm

If he can find one. I'm guessing he's not going to get a good letter of recommendation. 🙂

  20. October 23, 2017 5:38 pm at 5:38 pm

And he probably wondered why he didn't get rehired.

    • October 24, 2017 8:17 am at 8:17 am

I'm pretty sure you're right about this, Binky. Some folks don't see themselves as the problem. Just everyone else. 🙂

  21. October 23, 2017 7:23 pm at 7:23 pm

do you ever go browse back through old posts. I do. Back in 2011 I tried my hand at a blog game I called Lisleman's Left-over Laughs. I don't run games too well. I avoid regular scheduling. Anyway on one of my game posts your Sept. 18, 2011 post was link. I followed it today. I gave me a laugh about a Father Murphy bar joke. The best part is you still have this game going. That's amazing to me.
About your post above – I had a boss once who was inexperienced. Years past and I had moved on to another company. One day I'm part of an interview team and I'm delighted to see my old boss show up to be interviewed by me. He didn't get the job.

    • October 24, 2017 8:17 am at 8:17 am

Oh that is rich. Very rich. I've had some great bosses and I've had some not so great bosses. What goes around often comes around. 🙂

Hi Sandee, there is always one! And I bet he never learned.

    xx

    • October 26, 2017 10:26 am at 10:26 am

You're right, he will never learn. 🙂
