Very pretty. Makes me want to go out for a nice winter walk and then come back to a rustic cabin in the mountains with a fire and hot chocolate. Have a great day!

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:44 pm

I could do that too. I wouldn't want to live there all winter, but I'd love to visit for about a week. πŸ™‚

    • January 4, 2017 at 6:09 pm

I agree. A week would be just perfect. πŸ™‚

    • January 5, 2017 at 7:45 am

Yep, a week would be wonderful. I'll start packing. πŸ™‚

  2. January 4, 2017 at 3:26 am

That is such a gorgeous picture. But kind of glad I am not there. Bet it is really cold. Sandee, you and Zane have a great day.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:45 pm

I wouldn't want this to be my winter, but it's sure pretty from a distance. πŸ™‚

  3. January 4, 2017 at 5:18 am

Sandee, That's a gorgeous image but I'll pass on the cold and snow. πŸ™‚ Our forecast is calling for some wicked cold weather to move in this weekend and we have a chance of snow, too. I'm sure it won't amount to anything but the cold will be bad enough. I'm staying indoors! lol Have a blessed, happy new year!

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:45 pm

We don't get snow here. It gets pretty cold for about two months and then it warms back up again. Works for us. πŸ™‚

  4. January 4, 2017 at 7:03 am

So beautiful, but SOOOO cold. Brr. Now I need to go out back and soak in some of my Floridian sun.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:51 pm

I love Florida in the winter. I remember leaving Sacrament one January where they had to deice the plane. When we got to Miami it was HOT. Loved it. πŸ™‚

It may be beautiful to some but to me it is just COLD.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:51 pm

It's beautiful and it's COLD. Better seen in photographs. πŸ™‚

  9. January 4, 2017 at 9:27 am

This is gorgeous, Sandee…and you know how much I love winter! Thank you so much for sharing, and I hope you are having a great week, dear friend! πŸ™‚

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:52 pm

I do know how much you love winter. It's a good thing. You have a great week too Linda. πŸ™‚

  10. January 4, 2017 at 10:50 am

We might even see some of that white stuff soon…

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:53 pm

It's pretty at first and then not so much. πŸ™‚

  11. January 4, 2017 at 11:23 am

Reminds me of TV painter Bob Ross.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:53 pm

Who knows where this originally came from. πŸ™‚

  12. January 4, 2017 at 11:23 am

Dress warmly, and it could be a very nice hike.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:54 pm

If it's not snowing and you're not slipping and sliding then I'm up for a walk. πŸ™‚

  13. January 4, 2017 at 12:05 pm

Picture perfect! I often dream of those places, mine are however are warm beaches, fishing poles with plenty of bait.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:55 pm

I'm with you on the warm beaches…with a boat involved. πŸ™‚

  14. January 4, 2017 at 12:58 pm

gorgeous image- much like our snowy wonderland today!
We ended up having about 20 inches of snow until it stopped this morning. Now the sun is out and after 3 or so hours Russell has cleared our driveway (again!4 times so far these past few days) and I have shoveled all the snow again off the deck, off the back porch and the balcony and apartment stairs. Whew! Hope your day is less arduous than ours! Cheers and hugs!

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:55 pm

Wow, you're getting hammered with snow. Wow, that's a lot.

You mean Miss Lucy isn't helping with the snow removal? πŸ™‚

  15. January 4, 2017 at 1:04 pm

It's a winter wonderland! No snow in my neck of the woods.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:56 pm

It rarely snows here and then it doesn't stick. The last time it snowed was like in the late 70s. πŸ™‚

  16. January 4, 2017 at 1:45 pm

That's what i want to see while sitting by a window with a cup of something warm. Beautiful!

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:56 pm

As long as you're warm it's all good. πŸ™‚

  17. January 4, 2017 at 2:11 pm

    Brrrrrrrrrrr. Pretty but brrrrrrrrr

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:57 pm

It is pretty for sure. But I know it's cold too. πŸ™‚

  18. January 4, 2017 at 3:50 pm

I would love to be in a cabin in those woods.

    • January 4, 2017 at 3:57 pm

I wouldn't mind for a week or so. That's about all I could handle. πŸ™‚

  19. January 4, 2017 at 5:06 pm

I had to look up where that was. It's very much like the mtns here. Today in the valley we've gotten over a foot of snow and it's supposed to continue snowing all night. Can't wait to see what we wake up to. I'm ready for summer now.

    • January 5, 2017 at 5:54 am

I know you're enjoying your snow, but you sound like me. Okay, we've had the snow now let's get with spring and summer. πŸ™‚

  20. January 4, 2017 at 5:58 pm

Even though I can't bear the cold I love the look of snow covered forests. Beautiful!

    • January 5, 2017 at 5:55 am

Me too, Chelsey, me too. πŸ™‚

  21. January 4, 2017 at 7:37 pm

Pretty and peaceful! It's snowy and cold here so I'm in the tropical kind of mood these days!

    • January 5, 2017 at 5:55 am

I'm in the tropical kind of mood all year long. I'm a fair weather kind of gal. πŸ™‚

  22. January 4, 2017 at 7:43 pm

I saw that photo and thought, "Peace." And also, "I want to paint like that!"

    • January 5, 2017 at 5:56 am

Oh to paint like that would be fabulous. πŸ™‚

  23. January 5, 2017 at 7:30 am

Hi Sandee, what a pretty picture. Reminds me of those old fashioned Christmas cards that are twinkly with glitter.

    xx

    • January 5, 2017 at 7:45 am

Me too, but it's not that at all. I'm not sure how this was done, but is seems to have been touched up a bit. πŸ™‚

  24. January 5, 2017 at 8:10 am

Pretty! We had kind of a cold snap over Christmas and my kids were hoping for snow, but nope. Just cold rain! Maybe next year we can have a white Christmas πŸ™‚

    • January 5, 2017 at 8:27 am

I spent a week in Lake Tahoe one winter. It was magical. I enjoyed the snow, but was glad to get back to no snow. πŸ™‚

  25. January 5, 2017 at 10:31 am

The pic is gorgeous if you like the cold. I'm sure that snow would be work for me and I'd much rather be on a hot Bahama beach with little clothing, flip flops and swimming with the pigs. Another example of how much dogs are like pigs but that's another comment.

    • January 5, 2017 at 11:02 am

I could do this for about a week and then I'll join you on the Bahama beach. I like wearing little clothing too. πŸ™‚

  26. January 5, 2017 at 5:48 pm

Beautiful, especially when viewed from Florida!

    Big hugs, honey…

    • January 6, 2017 at 7:59 am

I agree with you there. I'd much rather have your Florida weather. πŸ™‚

  27. January 5, 2017 at 9:57 pm

Reminds me of an old painting that used to hang in my mother's house…Maybe it's from the same series?

    • January 6, 2017 at 7:59 am

It very well could be, Robert. I just thought this looks so very peaceful. πŸ™‚

  28. January 5, 2017 at 10:11 pm

Such a gorgeous winter scene! Have a lovely day!

    • January 6, 2017 at 8:00 am

I thought so too, Nancy. You have a lovely day as well. πŸ™‚

  29. January 8, 2017 at 11:57 am

    beautiful image

    • January 8, 2017 at 12:38 pm

Thank you, I thought so too. πŸ™‚
