Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful that we have air conditioning in our home and vehicles. It’s HOT this week.

We are thankful for Netflex and Amazon Prime. We do enjoy a movie now and then without commercials.

I’m thankful that hubby and I were fortunate to make it through our careers alive. It’s so dangerous for law enforcement anymore. So different now than when we worked.

I’m thankful for all my blogging buddies. Many have quit their blogs and are on Facebook, but they are still mostly all around.

I’m thankful that I’ve met so many of my blogging buddies. It’s fun to actually meet someone in person after sometimes years of blogging together.

I’m thankful that there are so many wonderful fresh vegetables and fruit this time of year. Pure heaven.

I’m thankful for my and hubbies health. We’re getting older, but we get around very well.

What are you thankful for today?

I moved to the south in 1975, with nothing but 2 window air conditioners for a few years. It. Was. Brutal. I pretty much thank God every day for helping whoever it was who invented air conditioning ever since the day mine was installed. (h) Even more so this year with this epic run of heat and humidity. I don't ever remember a summer like this one.

    (k) big hugs xoxo

I so remember the old swamp coolers. They were fair at best. I love central air very much. We've had a very mild summer for the most part. In a heat wave now, but it's been pretty mild. πŸ™‚

A/C ranks as one of the top ten inventions in the world ever.
We"be been eating lots of fresh veggies from our garden. So yummy!
It is so much fun to meet blog friends. Haven't met a single one who didn't end up being exactly as I imagined.
    Have a great weekend!

Yes, nothing like fresh veggies and fruit. Summer rocks where that is concerned. πŸ™‚

I'm very thankful for AC since it's been in the 90's near 100. We get a lot of humidity so thank God we have the AC.
Thankful for just being alive each day. Thankful for my lovely wife Mary Lou. I'm worried about her. She's been having tests and we'll see how it will turn out next week.

Have a wonderful Thursday Sandee & Zane. See ya.

Let me know about Mary Lou when you know. Now I'm worried too my friend. πŸ™‚

I too love all the fresh veggies and fruits. I am pretty much living off of them, since it just seems too hot to cook.

    Love your thankful posts πŸ™‚

Good to see you have so much to be thankful for. I am always thankful for my hubby, my mom and niece and all my kitties. And I am with you this week with the air conditioning too πŸ™‚

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:21 pm

It's good to enjoy your family isn't it. And the kitties. Especially the kitties. πŸ™‚

You were both in law enforcement? Wow.
Very thankful for air conditioning. Close to a hundred this week with high humidity.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:22 pm

Yes, we were both in law enforcement. πŸ™‚

Algore said something about air conditioning being the greatest threat known to humanity. Do you suppose he avoids places where they have AC?

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:22 pm

I doubt he doesn't walk is talk. They seldom do. They just want the rest of us to do as they say. Both sides of the aisle too. πŸ™‚

I am also thankful for our health and for blogging friends. I am thankful for rain and shine.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:23 pm

We could use some rain here. Horrible drought. I hope this winter brings lots of rain. πŸ™‚

  10. July 28, 2016 at 7:58 am

I'm going to have to wait until November 9 to see if I'm really thankful.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:23 pm

      You and me both. πŸ™‚

I'm thankful for everything in my life right now, even the fleas (old saying, meaning even fleas can lead to good things). πŸ™‚

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:24 pm

You had a large bump in the road, but your sure seem to be happier than ever before. I'm guessing there is quite a story to tell. πŸ™‚

  12. July 28, 2016 at 8:32 am

We are very thankful for Air Conditioning. And that all my animals seem to be doing all right so far in this heat. Sure glad you and Zane are doing well Sandee. You two do take care, O.K.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:24 pm

I think they do better than we do in the heat. I know you take good care of them too. πŸ™‚

  13. July 28, 2016 at 9:22 am

Am totally with you on AC. It's so hard to get a hood night sleep without AC.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:25 pm

It's very hard to sleep without air conditioning. I agree. πŸ™‚

  14. July 28, 2016 at 10:02 am

My list is nearly the same as yours. We don't have AC, but I'm thankful it's available if we need it. I'm glad you two survived your careers. Crazy times. Makes me sad to think of the gross disrespect for those who put their lives on the line to keep us safe. Yesssss, pure heaven for produce! Yumolicious

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:26 pm

Very crazy times and it makes me sad too. The bad guys are the good guys now and the good guys are the bad guys. πŸ™‚

  15. July 28, 2016 at 10:17 am

So long hubby and you are mentally alert and young, old age doesn't bother you. We should thank God for keeping us fit.
    Have a great day!

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:31 pm

We feel the same way. We are doing very well. πŸ™‚

  16. July 28, 2016 at 10:26 am

We're thankful for AC too! It's going to be over 90 today for the first time since the beginning of June. Blech! I'm also thankful my hubby forgot his badge for work this morning because it meant I got to see him again when he came to get it! πŸ™‚

Hope you both and stay cool!

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:31 pm

That's always a nice surprise when you don't expect to see them and they show back up. Good for you. πŸ™‚

  17. July 28, 2016 at 10:43 am

I fear what may happen to our police these days.

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:32 pm

You're welcome and I too fear for our law enforcement personnel. πŸ™‚

  19. July 28, 2016 at 12:25 pm

They are both very lucky babies and they know it too. I know you and your husband love them very much. πŸ™‚

  20. July 28, 2016 at 12:34 pm

What would we do without AC in this hot weather?

    • July 28, 2016 at 12:37 pm

      I don't know and I don't want to either. πŸ™‚

  21. July 28, 2016 at 2:58 pm

I'm a Floridian, so I'm used to heat, but the worst heat I ever felt was in New Hampshire in 1991/92 (?) when they had a heat wave and there was no air conditioning. Our baby was down to diapers and she was still uncomfortably HOT! Talk about a vacation. Yeah, let's do that again.

    • July 28, 2016 at 3:10 pm

Sounds terrible. I hate the heatwaves with the high humidity. πŸ™‚

oh yes, fresh vegies. I'm thankful for those too.

    • July 28, 2016 at 4:06 pm

Like white corn on the cob. My favorite summer veggie. πŸ™‚

  24. July 28, 2016 at 7:00 pm

Hallelujah for A/C…and fresh fruit and veggies. And an outdoor grill. Too hot to turn on the oven.

Really thankful that blogging brought us together. We MAY be in CA in September. Stay
    tuned!

    Big hugs, honey…

    • July 29, 2016 at 6:39 am

      All those things for sure.

Let us know. We're tuned in. πŸ™‚

  25. July 28, 2016 at 7:05 pm

Hi Sandee, with the high heat and humidity that we get in the summer here in Montreal, Canada, I am very grateful to have central air conditioning.

    • July 29, 2016 at 6:39 am

We would be miserable without our AC. πŸ™‚

  26. July 29, 2016 at 2:23 pm

Think of all the generations that had to do without AC or refrigeration. That must have been tough.

    • July 29, 2016 at 3:52 pm

They didn't know it even existed so they didn't complain about not having it like we do when we don't. πŸ™‚
