For the popular tv shows, I only know 5 out of the 10. And in the tops hits, I remember Tennessee Ernie's 16 tons. My parents had it on a record and I used to play it all the time. The yellow rose of Texas is one my dad used to sing a lot.

Yep, I was born in 1951 so I remember most of this from my parents and then later it was just part of growing up. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, Dam, I remember them all. Those were the days. Those songs bring back so many memories. Sandee, you and Zane have a terrific Tuesday. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Some of those songs were great and some not so much. I remember the beautiful women and all the shows. ๐Ÿ™‚

All a bit before my time, yet i've heard all the songs and seen all those stars and at least clips from all the shows. It was great entertainment, much better than what's around now.

    • May 31, 2016 at 3:52 pm

I agree that the entertainment was far better then than now. ๐Ÿ™‚

The "hotties" of today look pretty weak in comparison to those ladies, don't they? I wish we could just swap them out and get rid of any mention to a Kardashian!

    • May 31, 2016 at 3:53 pm

I'd love to not hear about the Kardashian anymore. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ha,ha,ha. I was only six years old at that time. I just wanted to play outside at that time and of course eat.

Have a funny Tuesday Sandee & Zane. See ya.

I was only eight in 1955 but I know my mother watched virtually all of those tv shows. Since most of the stars were still around by 1960, I can honestly say that I thought Sophia Loren was the most beautiful woman in the world. I have always loved music so all of these songs are familiar to me, even the birth of Rock 'n Roll with Bill Haley and the Comets. Who didn't love that voice of Tennessee Ernie Ford? Have a blessed day blogging friend of mine.

Sophia Loren was indeed one of the most beautiful women in the world. She held that title for a very long time too. ๐Ÿ™‚
