Silly Sunday

Sunday is the place to come for weekly laughs. The rules are simple, just have fun.

This is a great opportunity to get to know other bloggers and have a laugh or two in the process. Here is how it works: Laugh and Link Up!

Great Truths That Little Children Have Learned!

No matter how hard you try, you can’t baptize cats..

When your Mum is mad at your Dad, don’t let her brush your hair.

If your sister hits you, don’t hit her back. They always catch the second person.

Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.

You can’t trust dogs to watch your food..

Don’t sneeze when someone is cutting your hair..

Never hold a Dust-Buster and a cat at the same time.

You can’t hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.

Don’t wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.

The best place to be when you’re sad is Grandma’s lap.

I've seen some weird colored underwear being worn with white shorts. Bless their hearts. πŸ™‚

  3. May 29, 2016 at 4:11 am

aw to that last one. Ain't it the truth? πŸ™‚

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:30 pm

Yep, it was back in the day for me too. I sure miss my grandmother. πŸ™‚

Love the image of a 3 year old with a tomato. But all those are really good and it is so nice to have a good chuckle. Sandee, you and Zane have a fun day. =))

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:30 pm

Totally destroyed tomato. It's cute to watch, not so much if you have to clean up the mess. πŸ™‚

  5. May 29, 2016 at 4:39 am

    All good advice.

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:31 pm

I'm running over with unimportant stuff as usual. πŸ™‚

  6. May 29, 2016 at 4:48 am

    Brilliant! Love that last one.

    Have a super Sunday.

    Big hugs, honey…

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:31 pm

That's because we are both good grandmas. πŸ™‚

  7. May 29, 2016 at 4:52 am

Heeheehee! Well, you can baptize a cat, but you don't want to!

    Enjoy your Sunday!

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:31 pm

I've never wanted to. It's hard enough getting them in their carriers to get them to the vets office. πŸ™‚

They always catch the second person. I wish NFL players would learn that one.

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:32 pm

I wish they would too. πŸ™‚

  9. May 29, 2016 at 8:02 am

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:32 pm

They are all true indeed Linda. πŸ™‚

  10. May 29, 2016 at 8:09 am

You can have dogs watch your food-as long as it is broccoli. It works better than milk.

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:32 pm

Yep, they don't eat a lot of veggies do they. Everything else, but veggies not so much. πŸ™‚

  11. May 29, 2016 at 8:25 am

I totally agree with you. About this one, " Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts. ", I wore a pair of RED underwear without thinking of white shorts. A lot of people were staring at me and I couldn't wonder why. Ha,ha,ha.

Have a colorful Sunday Sandee & Zane. See ya.

I love all these advice especially the two on hair management. No doubt grandma's lap is paradise when in sorrow as well as in happiness.
    Have a great Sunday!

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:33 pm

      You're right about grandma's lap. πŸ™‚

  13. May 29, 2016 at 9:18 am

Those are great- you are so right about dogs watching food πŸ™‚

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:34 pm

They can watch and beg at the same time. They are really good at it too. πŸ™‚

  14. May 29, 2016 at 10:12 am

So true. No chance to sit on grandma's lap and good thing I do not like white shorts. Lol!

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:34 pm

I have white uniform pants that I have to wear when we go to Portland next month. I'll make sure I have the right underwear. πŸ™‚

  15. May 29, 2016 at 10:17 am

When I was little I tried to Baptize a cat—only tried it once!

    • May 29, 2016 at 3:34 pm

Once is all it takes Ron. Just once. πŸ™‚

  16. May 29, 2016 at 12:34 pm

    • May 30, 2016 at 6:12 am

    • May 30, 2016 at 6:13 am

We stayed home Caren and just rested. We avoided the crowds and we liked that very much. πŸ™‚

  20. May 29, 2016 at 8:41 pm

The story behind the three year old and tomato intrigues me. Lol! Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

    • May 30, 2016 at 6:13 am

Well if you haven't seen what a three year old can do to a tomato then you should. It's quite funny and a huge mess. πŸ™‚

  21. May 30, 2016 at 12:04 am

All true, although I have never tried to hide broccoli in milk.

    • May 30, 2016 at 6:14 am

      I haven't either, but I love broccoli. πŸ™‚

  22. May 30, 2016 at 11:54 am

That last one is pretty good.

    • May 30, 2016 at 12:29 pm

      Yep, it's a very good one. πŸ™‚
