Two Rednecks

Two Virginia rednecks go on a fishing trip. They rent all the equipment – the reels, the rods, the wading suits, the rowboat, the car, and even a cabin in the woods. I mean they spend a fortune!

The first day they go fishing, but they don’t catch anything.

The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day.

It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches a fish.

As they’re driving home they’re really depressed. One guy turns to the other and says, ”Do you realize that this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred bucks?”

The other guy says, ”Wow! Then it’s a good thing we didn’t catch any more!”

Yep, and I'll bet there are other hobbies that are far more expensive. 🙂

  5. May 3, 2016 at 5:40 am

Most hobbies are more expensive that we care to admit. But that's why they're hobbies. Just sayin'.

    • May 3, 2016 at 12:24 pm

I agree with you. It doesn't matter if you love your hobby. Yours is photography, ours is boating. Both expensive. 🙂

Let me guess, the second guy works in government purchasing. He's the one that buys the kabillion dollar toilets. Up early today. Make it a great day, dear! Best to your hubby!

    • May 3, 2016 at 12:25 pm

You're probably right. I don't like how the government spends my tax money. Not one bit. 🙂

Are you certain that these two don't commute from Virginia to Washington DC and their jobs with the Budget Office?

    • May 3, 2016 at 12:27 pm

You know they might do just that. 🙂
