Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful that we finally got to spend the weekend on our boat last week. We’re heading back to the boat today for another long weekend. I’ll get some pictures as soon as they finish one last thing. It just won’t look right without this one last thing.

I’m thankful that we’ll be going on a cruise the weekend of 12 through 14. We’re heading to Marina West Yacht Club for our Valentines weekend. This will be the last time in the current location. They are moving their club once again. I hope we’ll continue to visit often.

I’m thankful that we enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with boating friends last Saturday and then went to dinner together. Not having our boat we’ve not been around very much. It was good to catch up. It was also great to run into a ton of our yacht club members at dinner. It appeared that most everyone decided to have dinner at The Point Restaurant.

I’m thankful that hubby and I love spending time together. We don’t find ways to be apart, but ways to always be together.

What are you thankful for today?

We are looking forward to seeing pictures of the boat too. I bet you are really enjoying having it all fixed up. Have a great trip this week end. We are so thankful for all the little things, like a roof over our head, and lots of good friends.

It's pretty amazing considering what it looked like when we dropped her off the first time. We've come a very long way. πŸ™‚

Wonderful. This is the kind of life Bryan and I are looking forward to when he retires. We aren't wishing away our current life, but we know it won't last forever. It helps me not get so upset about the kids growing and moving on to think about the fun Bryan and I will have together.
Glad you are able to get back to the water that you love so much!

    • February 4, 2016 at 8:04 am

The circle of life. Enjoy every part of that circle. We sure have. πŸ™‚

The last sentence is very effective and made an impact on me. I wish you many more 'togetherness programs' with hubby.
    Have a great day!

Lovely thankful things! Today i am thankful for sunshine after two days of gray and some rain.

    • February 4, 2016 at 8:07 am

Enjoy the sunshine. I can remember here it would be foggy for weeks at a time. Very depressing. When the sun would finally show up I'd be outside soaking it up. πŸ™‚

I don't have one of those on our boat, but it's all good. Some boats have a laundry room, but we can't afford that kind of boat. πŸ™‚

  13. February 4, 2016 at 7:42 am

The last thing that you did and couldn't do without was to stock the bar.

    • February 4, 2016 at 8:09 am

Oh no, the bar is always stocked. Come on over. πŸ™‚

  14. February 4, 2016 at 7:50 am

ahah! New blinds! You are going to have a wonderful time cruising this summer with your "new" boat! Have fun this weekend- you and Zane know how to care for each other! Big hugs all round!

It just doesn't look right with paper plates covering the portholes. It works, but it's not very attractive. πŸ™‚

  16. February 4, 2016 at 10:47 am

I thankful that the sun is out today and it's a sweltering 28 degrees. c-)

  17. February 4, 2016 at 11:16 am

I like that. Ways to be together and not ways to be apart. That sounds very much like Jen' Guy and myself. The children work hard to keep us going non stop, but somehow we work hard to make time for one another.

    • February 4, 2016 at 3:02 pm

You have to make time for each other. Very important. You're a smart one. πŸ™‚

  18. February 4, 2016 at 12:51 pm

    • February 4, 2016 at 3:02 pm

Grand babies are such fun. I love shopping for them. πŸ™‚

It's nice to hear about couples that are happy together. I don't know about today but yesterday I was thankful for the sunshine and spring like weather we had. Today however it's snowing

    • February 4, 2016 at 3:04 pm

I know you hate the snow. I do too and having to drive and go to work or shopping would be so very difficult. πŸ™‚

  20. February 4, 2016 at 4:27 pm

I envy your time on the water!

    • February 4, 2016 at 5:49 pm

We're going to boat as long as we're able. It's a wonderful thing to do as you well know. πŸ™‚
