Thankful Thursday

I’m thankful that today is Thanksgiving. Hubby and I are going to have our Thanksgiving dinner on a train today. The train goes 32 miles into the foothills and we’ll be enjoying some wine and a fine dinner. It’s a three hour trip. No shopping, no preparation, no cooking and no cleanup.

I’m thankful that our boat will be going in for its final face lift on December 7th. We had an appointment with the guy that does the work and we’re good to go. I’ll take before and after pictures so you can see what got done. This will be a huge transformation. As you know I can’t wait.

I’m thankful we decided to take out the old analog television and put a flat screen HD television. We don’t watch much television on the boat as there are tons of other things to do, but there are times we’d love to see the news at least.

I’m thankful that I can wish everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving, a very happy and healthy Thanksgiving. May you enjoy whatever you have planned and have a wonderful meal. We all have much to be thankful for.

So what are you most thankful for today?

That sounds like a fun way to spend Thanksgiving. For the first time in over 30 years I am not cooking dinner today. We're going to my daughters for our Thanksgiving dinner so I'm thankful for that. I'm also thankful for having the day off

What a wonderful day you have planned. I am thankful for our heath and hubby and I are eating alone and watching a pay per view movie on tv before a game he wants to watch comes on. Dinner is already almost done and it is only 9 AM. We did a ham this year.
He is asst manager at a store and had to work today from 5 am to 2 pm. We do what we have to. Have an amazing day on the train. I will be thinking of you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Sounds a wonderful way to celebrate your Thanksgiving Sandee. Hope you & Mr. Plus πŸ˜€ had a great time.

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:48 am

Plus is your surname isn't it? I assume your nickname is Comedy? πŸ˜‰

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:49 am

      Oops… I messed up my emoticon should've been πŸ™‚

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:07 pm

Zane and I had a great time. πŸ™‚

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:07 pm

It's Zane and Sandee Clark. I thought you knew that. πŸ™‚

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:08 pm

Okay, glad you got your emoticon right. πŸ™‚

    • November 27, 2015 at 7:42 pm

No I never knew what your surname was. I didn't even know Zane's name. I'm probably not very observant. I even called Michelle by my ex-wife's name once when we'd only been married for a short time. She never forgets that one either. If anyone's talking about not remembering names she'll point to me & say "Yeah he even called me by his ex-wife's name once". A woman's scorn is eternal I think… πŸ˜€

The train trip sounds divine! I wish we had something like that around here. Our T-day was wonderful and delicious. My parents are getting a bit more frail with each passing year but they are still doing pretty good for their ages and are able to get around okay… and I am so thankful to still have them with me.

Can't wait to see you boat re-do!

    big hugs xoxo

    • November 27, 2015 at 12:08 pm

I know you're enjoying your parents. They don't hang around long enough. Mine are long gone. πŸ™‚

  22. November 27, 2015 at 1:23 pm

That train trip should be really good and quite a unique experience.

    • November 27, 2015 at 4:13 pm

It was Binky. The ride was fun, the weather was chilly but sunny, and the food was great. πŸ™‚

    • November 27, 2015 at 7:43 pm

That's one thing I miss since we left Brisbane & came back to Tasmania. We have no trains here. Or I should say no passenger trains. There are freight trains only.

  23. November 27, 2015 at 9:10 pm

I'm so glad you enjoyed your train ride! That really sounded like fun!

    • November 28, 2015 at 7:28 am

It was very fun. We had a great time and are planning on doing the ride again next year. Make it a Thanksgiving tradition. πŸ™‚
