Thoughts of a Retiree’s Wandering Mind…

I had amnesia once — maybe twice.

I went to San Francisco. I found someone’s heart. Now what?

Protons have mass? I didn’t even know they were Catholic.

All I ask is a chance to prove that money can’t make me happy.

If the world were a logical place, men would be the ones who ride horses sidesaddle.

What is a “free” gift? Aren’t all gifts free?

They told me I was gullible and I believed them.

Teach a child to be polite and courteous in the home and, when he grows up, he’ll never be able to merge his car onto the freeway.

Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone.

One nice thing about egotists: they don’t talk about other people.

My weight is perfect for my height–which varies.

I used to be indecisive. Now I’m not sure.

How can there be self-help “groups”?

If swimming is so good for your figure, how do you explain whales?

Show me a man with both feet firmly on the ground, and I’ll show you a man who can’t get his pants off.

Is it meβ€” or do buffalo wings taste like chicken?

A "free gift" is one that's been regifted.

  10. June 2, 2015 at 7:38 am

Oh my, there were some laugh-out-loud ones in here. I especially liked the ones about the side-saddle and the merging in traffic.

    • June 2, 2015 at 9:23 am

We older folks do wonder about so many things. πŸ™‚

So that's what varies – it's been my height all along, not my weight! lol Funny list – thanks for the laughs!!!

Yes buffalo wings do taste like chicken because they are chicken. πŸ™‚

  15. June 2, 2015 at 1:27 pm

I totally agree with wanting a chance to find out if money can't buy happiness πŸ™‚

    • June 2, 2015 at 2:19 pm

It sure does make life easier Ann. Much easier. πŸ™‚

  16. June 2, 2015 at 2:08 pm

I liked them all, but I really want to test the one about money not buying happiness. I know money can pay my bills and that would make me happy. Come on lottery.

    • June 2, 2015 at 2:20 pm

I think most of us would like to test that one out. πŸ™‚

  17. June 2, 2015 at 2:48 pm

    • June 2, 2015 at 3:21 pm

I don't this it's possible for me to be any crazier. πŸ™‚

  20. June 2, 2015 at 6:17 pm

If you found a heart while you were in San Francisco, I suppose the first thing you'd do is scream…then call the police!

    • June 2, 2015 at 6:20 pm

      Well you're right. πŸ™‚

  21. June 2, 2015 at 10:17 pm

  22. June 3, 2015 at 3:49 pm

It's hard to be decisive about indecisiveness.

    • June 3, 2015 at 5:41 pm

I know what you mean Binky. πŸ™‚
