I Believe…

That sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you’re down will be the ones to help you get back up.

That sometimes when I’m angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn’t give me the right to be cruel.

That maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you’ve had and what you’ve learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you’ve celebrated.

That it isn’t always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

That no matter how badly your heart is broken, the world doesn’t stop for your grief.

That our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

That you shouldn’t be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

Two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

That your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don’t even know you.

That even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

That the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

Those are such great 'I believe' sayings. And they are all so true. Sandee, you and Zane and the Little Bit have a great day.

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:30 am

They are very true indeed Marg. Scritches to all the babies. 🙂

More wonderful I believes. Although I would expand on one, that life can be changed in a matter of seconds.

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:31 am

" That credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being." Boy are you correct on that one. and I know of one particular person who thinks she is so advanced over everybody. I wonder why they think that way? Oh well, as far as I'm concerned, they are useless.
Have a wonderful, & enjoyable weekend and have a fun Saturday Sandee. See ya.

Sometimes those with the credentials are not worth your time. I know some too Paul. 🙂

And success is not a measure of what others think about you, but what you think of yourself.

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:32 am

What others think of me is none of my business. Spot on Joe. 🙂

lovely post. i would add do not compare your reality to someone else's facade. you only see what they allow you to see. roche' says he'd like to add he likes to shop. i asked him what that had to do with this post and he said he just wanted you to know that.

    smiles, bee

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:33 am

I know some people like that. Some worry about everything and have to be perfect and they aren't.

      Roche is a pistol. 🙂

I finally get it! The "I Believe…" columns are words of wisdom and different from the other days when you post humor. Duh, I can be dense sometimes but in my defense I read blogs while in the morning when I'm not fully awake.

These "I believes" are all so true but for some reason a lot of people have trouble understanding that.

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:33 am

I don't do much serious here. Sometimes I just can't pass up things like these words of wisdom. 🙂

  9. April 11, 2015 at 7:28 am

Oh if only those who NEED to see these would see these pearls of wisdom! Lovely reminders for us all.

Happy Saturday to you and yours. Big hugs, honey…

    • April 11, 2015 at 7:34 am

But would they get it if they did? That's the sad part, probably not. 🙂

Well experienced statements from worldly-wise and matured hearts… I was moved by the last statement about most loved ones!
    Have a great day!

  11. April 11, 2015 at 9:15 am

Yes indeed. Words to live by. 🙂

  12. April 11, 2015 at 9:51 am

    • April 12, 2015 at 7:05 am

Thank you Kathe. A friend sent them and I've been reading and re-reading them. 🙂

  13. April 11, 2015 at 11:49 am

Yes, to all of these. And those we love, we can never have them long enough, ever.

    • April 12, 2015 at 7:06 am

I've lost so many. Too many. 🙂

  14. April 11, 2015 at 1:34 pm

I'm working on the forgiveness one. I've learned that over the years. I feel guilty for anyone I've ever hurt and I realize that they've likely moved on…I'm the one who hasn't forgiven me!

    • April 12, 2015 at 7:10 am

We have all had our crosses to bear. All of us. There are things all of us would like to change or do. 🙂

  15. April 11, 2015 at 3:37 pm

All so very true and several make you stop and take a look at yourself. Love these

    • April 12, 2015 at 7:10 am

Yep, that's the point. Taking a look at ourselves. 🙂

  16. April 11, 2015 at 6:37 pm

I believe that is so true and I have a lot of changing to do

    • April 12, 2015 at 7:11 am

All of us can try to do better Louise. All of us. 🙂

  17. April 12, 2015 at 8:32 am

There's a lot of truth in this list right here. 🙂 Have a fun rest of the weekend!

    • April 13, 2015 at 8:30 am

Yes there is Rose, a ton of truth. 🙂

  18. April 12, 2015 at 2:18 pm

love all of these quotes. Sadly, the last one applies to my having lost two former co-workers last week. Have a great week!

    • April 13, 2015 at 8:31 am

Two in one week? I'm so sorry Caren. 🙁

The seeing things differently fits me and my pet rock: when I see a pizza, Seymour sees a future leftover that might attack him. I never should have let Seymour watch The Outer Limits…

    • April 13, 2015 at 8:31 am

Seymour does whatever he wants. We both know that. You can try to stop him, but it's futile. 🙂

  20. April 13, 2015 at 12:04 pm

So much truth in all of these Sandee

    • April 13, 2015 at 3:04 pm

      There are indeed Tony. 🙂

  21. April 13, 2015 at 5:26 pm

Some of those are too true.

    • April 14, 2015 at 6:41 am

Yes they are Binky, yes they are. 🙂

  22. June 10, 2015 at 10:39 pm

    • June 11, 2015 at 6:56 am
