Tuesday Silliness

The French Government announced yesterday that it is imposing a ban on fireworks at Disneyland. The decision comes after the nightly firework display at the park, located just 50 Km outside of Paris, France caused soldiers at a nearby French Army garrison to surrender to a group of Russian tourists.

In Los Angeles, a history teacher is in a lot of trouble for encouraging her students to oppose the war with Afghanistan. The principal was furious and said, ‘Telling kids to oppose the war is the French teacher’s job.’

A sign seen in the window of a shop in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. It reads: ‘The bargain basement …is on the first floor.’

I wish they still had bargain basements. Me and my little best girlfriend use to take the subway into Boston on Saturday mornings to go to Filene's basement. Lost of good shopping fun for cheap. Now I understand there isn't even a Filene's anymore. Bugger.

Have a lovely day! big hugs xoxo

Frankly, I surprised that California schools offer history After all, it is soooo yesterday.

California is a terrible state. Not safe here. The weirdos running it think they are doing a fantastic job. There is the elite that tell the rest of us what to do. They pretty much live on the coast of California. πŸ™‚

I watched a movie last night where a guy was trying to evict a squatter who had moved into his apartment in France while he was away. The police told him he could only evict him in the month of March and trying to do it any other time would get him in trouble with the law!

    • March 24, 2015 at 12:46 pm

It's amazing what the world is turning into isn't it. Makes me scratch my head on a daily basis. πŸ™‚

  15. March 24, 2015 at 2:24 pm

oh those are good. I wonder if anyone ever gets lost trying to find the bargain basement

    • March 25, 2015 at 7:30 am

Only us old people know about the bargain basement, so perhaps there are a lot of old people getting lost. πŸ™‚

  16. March 24, 2015 at 3:21 pm

The French have a bad reputation when it comes to surrendering. That said, at the end of WWII Paris was intact, while Berlin was destroyed and large parts of London were in ruins. They came out smelling like a rose!

    • March 25, 2015 at 7:30 am

Yes they did Ron. Good history lesson. πŸ™‚

  17. March 24, 2015 at 6:02 pm

    • March 26, 2015 at 11:28 am

The French do get teased a lot. πŸ™‚

  21. March 26, 2015 at 2:18 am

The 1st floor bargain basement was the funniest in my opinion, We have a French man at work & with his outrageous French accent it's often very hard to understand what he's talking about

    • March 26, 2015 at 11:28 am

About all we hear here is Spanish. I could use some French accent about now. πŸ™‚
